"mingyu, what the fuck just happened?" seungcheol called from his room. mingyu was frozen in place, his phone in his hand, tears in his eyes. he could hear the footsteps of two of his members, but he just stood there, unable to move.

"mingyu. . .?" hansol voiced, looking at the older boy in worry.

"i'm sorry," he whispered quietly, a single tear making its way down his cheek, "god, i'm so sorry."

just when mingyu burst into tears, the door clicked open and mingyu was engulfed in a familiar warmth. the younger clutched onto his boyfriend's shirt as he cried, repeatedly apologizing.

"gyu," wonwoo murmured gently, stroking the taller's back, "calm down, it's okay, baby. we'll work this out, okay? everything's going to be fine."

"mingyu," the leader said, "wonu's right, we'll work it all out."

hansol nodded in agreement, though mingyu couldn't see him, joining in with, "yeah!"

"i just ruined our careers," mingyu sobbed, his face buried in wonwoo's shoulder, "you guys should hate me. i-i. . ."

"we're a team, gyu," seungcheol stated firmly, "we're a family. we could never hate you, okay?"

"well, i'm gonna be fired," the tallest said, "and, because of my stupidity, so will wonu."

"hey," wonwoo spoke up, tangling his fingers in the younger's hair, "you know i love my job, i love my music, but i also love you. i would give up everything if it meant staying with you."

"but you shouldn't have to," mumbled mingyu in reply, "why should we have to give up our careers in order to stay together?—in order to stay happy? it's not fair."

"i know it isn't." he ran his hands down mingyu's neck to his back. "but, no matter what happens, we're staying together, okay?"

mingyu nodded, sniffling as he pulled away from wonwoo, his lips in a pout and his eyes tinted red. wonwoo kissed his cheeks where there were still tears before pressing a soft kiss to his lips.

"i love you," the older reminded him.

"i love you, too," replied mingyu, his voice quiet.
