the first step i took into megan's house immediately brought a lump to my throat. when i finally managed to calm down i was sitting on the couch with jack. he looked over to me with concern, and i gave him a hopefully convincing smile. we soon looked away as everything became silent. i looked to corbyn and christina who had their mouths wide open staring into the kitchen. i looked to alex and zach who wore the same shocked expression as their views wandered into the kitchen as well. finally i looked to see what they were looking at. when i finally saw what made them so shocked, my heart dropped. megan and daniel's lips separated as the two looked to everyone on the couch. corbyn immediately flashed me a worried look before looking to everyone else.
"i'm going to use the bathroom." i said in a whisper. i looked at alex who ponies down the hall. taking deep breaths i slowly walked down the hall trying to maintain calm. i finally reached the medium sized bathroom and closed the door. i locked it before looking into the mirror. i looked a mess. i hadn't realized how horrible i probably looked compared to myself on any other day. my hair is never this messy and the bags under my eyes are never this dark. i didn't sleep last night. my thoughts almost choked me alive. i quickly fixed my hair before splashing my face with cold water. soon i was just staring at my sad reflection in the mirror. my hands in my hair and my elbows on the table i let one soft tear slip past my eye. i don't know why i let it fall. i had been holding it in for a while now. i hadn't expected megan to like me back. i didn't even know if i liked her in the first place. i kind of thought we had something. i finally decided that i needed to be happy for her and daniel and move on. i wiped my face and made sure i didn't look like total shit. i slowly opened the door and walked out, trying my best to hide my emotions that were flying all over the small gorgeous house. i knew i was a mess. and i knew i wasn't going to get over it soon.

we finally reached my room as alex pulled me in and christina shut the door.
"what the heck did we just witness?!" christina practically screamed as alex squealed in the back.
"shhhh." i hissed at them.
"why were you just kissing the daniel seavey?" alex spoke quieter as she emphasized 'the daniel seavey'. i laughed and shrugged. the two looked stunned.
"are you guys dating?" christina spoke after a moment of silence.
"i'm not really sure." i said, awkwardly scratching my neck.
"we kissed last night too." i spoke as quietly as i could. not quiet enough, as soon the two girls started squealing again. laughing the three of us left my room and walked back downstairs to our friends.
as we reached the bottom of the stairs i noticed jonah's presence on my couch. i smiled at him as he flashed me a very small smile. jonah smiled, but it didn't really feel like it was coming from jonah. it didn't feel like his normal smile. shaking my thoughts aside i sat down next to daniel as everyone decided on what to do.
"beach?" zach suggested, with his arm around his girlfriend.
"too windy and cold." corbyn responded. we all agreed as we threw in ideas.
"how about we go roller skating?" christina said after many silent minutes went by. we all turned to each other and nodded.
"are we dressed okay?" jack worried, looking at everyone's casual clothes.
"its roller skating jack. i think we'll be fine." zach rolled his eyes at the other shorter boy. we all laughed before walking out of the house and to the boys' van.
"megan's driving!" corbyn yelled as he threw me the keys and everyone scrambled into the car. rolling my eyes and laughing, i sat in the drivers seat am started the car. with daniel by my side in shotgun, jack, jonah and zach in the middle, and corbyn, christina, and alex in the back, we were off. everyone was chatting away as i drove down los angeles. the radio wasn't on and neither was the air conditioning. daniel has his phone on his hand as he rested his other hand on his knee. he soon looked up at me as i saw him through my peripheral vision. he smiled and rested his hand on my thigh.
"aren't you supposed to be driving when you do that?" i laughed.
"i can do what i want." he smiled proudly at his actions. i smiled once more before returning my eyes to the road, daniels had still laying on my thigh.
soon i pulled into the roller blading/skating arena after letting everyone know we arrived. zach and jack hopped out of the car squealing of excitement. the rest of us laughed at them as we all walked in. i locked the car up as daniel held the door open for me. giving him a smile in gratitude we arrived at the front desk. jonah paid for everyone as we all got our roller skates.
"thanks." everyone said at jonah.
"well, what's my money is technically why dont we's money too." he said smiling.
"thanks jonah." me, christina, and alex said in sync. jonah lightly laughed before speaking.
"you're welcome ladies." he said as we walked to the skate rental desk. everyone started telling the boy behind the desk our roller skate sizes as he slowly started handing them to us. alex was last as she told the boy her shoe size.
"7 and a half please." she said bubbly. the boy smiled brightly at her before grabbing the skates.
"can i get your number gorgeous?" he flirted as he handed alex the skates.
"i actually have a boyfriend." she spoke confidently as she pointed at zach. he soon looked up to see her pointing at him and walked over to her.
"nah but really are y'all dating?" he asked. alex nodded as zach protectively wrapped his arm around alex's waist. she got closer to him as he looked down at her and kissed her plump lips. the boy huffed at them before walking to the other side of the small room behind the counter. alex and zach soon walked away smiling. i'm pretty sure that was the first kiss they've shared together.
