You could hear the strain in her voice as she tried to sound natural.

Lucy fell to her knees as she let the tears flow openly. She covered her eyes with her hands in an attempt to stop or at least dry her tears. All the girls abandoned their instruments and ran to Lucy's side.

"Lucy it's alright" levy reassured her but it made no difference.

The boys got up with worried expressions across their faces and slowly left the room.

"I don't think it would be wise to stay here" jellal said ushering them out.

The last one to reach the door was Natsu but before he left he turned around

"Your names Lucy, right?" He asked

"Juvia doesn't think this is the right time for that Natsu-San" Juvia snapped.

"I don't know you and you don't know me but it's quite obvious we both have things in common." Natsu started as he stared right at Lucy.

Lucy slowly raised her head so Natsu could see her red puffy eyes

"From what I've seen you have amazing friends, your brilliant at music, you can sing and play guitar at the same time and, well, your pretty cute, so if that guy can't see that then it's obvious that he's stupider than me and that is pretty stupid"

Natsu turned around again and walked out the door.

Lucy brought her knees up to her chest and hid her face in them so no one could see the small smile she had on her face as she dried her final tears.
