Chapter 7: He Came Back

(Nunnally)

After three days, hindi pa rin sya pumapasok. I felt guilty dun sa nangyari na yun.

Para bang he worship the God so much kaya sya nasaktan ng ganun. Also our teacher, tinawagan daw sya ni Chairman Ji. Hindi pa daw makakapasok si Zyc.

What should I do? Since hindi ako isang believer kailangan ko pa rin irespect ang beliefs and perspectives ng isang tao. Oh my!

I just suddenly burst out because of sadness pero hindi ko alam na may masasaktan ako.

"Nunnally, pumasok na si Zyc." sigaw sakin ng classmate namin. Nandito ako sa cafeteria waiting sa pagsisimula ng class.

But when I heard that he is here, I fixed all of my things into a snap and run towards the room.

Everyone is looking to him. They are all surprised and wants to talk to him but his aura says na avoid him.

Pero dahil matapang ako, kinulbit ko sya sa pagkaka ubob nya.

He looked at me. He looked pale pero hindi katulad noong huli.

"Are you okay? Sorry for what happen last time I..." pinutol nya ang sasabihin ko pero ngumiti sya ng kaunti dahil siguro sa panlalambot.

"Nothing to be sorry about. It's just that my illness attacked me that day. Sorry for interruption." He smiled again.

Parang nagslow motion ang lahat. I didn't notice that I am staring to his lips while smiling.

Someone pat my shoulder and came back to the reality. Nagnod na lang ako because of embarassment. Anong nangyayari sakin?

Pumasok na ang teacher namin at saktong sya yung teacher na napagabutan nung inatake sya.

"Mr. Zyc, I'm sorry about last time. I didn't know anything about you, so ..." hindi nya na rin ito pinatuloy and he shook his head.

Parang naging gesture ito sa kanya na hayaan na lamang. Yumuko si Teacher at nasimula ng magturo. Nilingon ko sya.

He is staring at the window habang nakapatong ang ulo nya sa crossed arms nya sa table.

He is not listening or maybe pinilit nya lamang pumasok to attend and stop us beating ourselves because of what happen. At siguro he is very sensitive sa mga ganun topics.

Siguro saka ko na lamang itatanong ng lahat ng yun sa kanya if ready na ako. Nakakahiya masyado.

Maya maya lamang narinig namin ng boses ni Chairman.

"Students, please proceed to our gymnasium for an important announcement and also I want all of you to ready yourself for this time. Thank you." at namatay na ang speaker.

Maybe it's very important since this is the first time na gumamit si Chairman ng speaker. Kalimitan the security managers ang nagtatawag sa mga students to gather in school facilities.

Lalabas na sana ako, pero napansin ko na hindi pa sya tumatayo.

"Kaya mo bang lumabas?" kaming dalawa na lamang ang natitira.

Ngumiti na lamang ito at parang nag gesture na mauna na ako. And I did. I hope he's fine. Maybe later I'll take care of him after this meeting.

I'll excuse him for this meeting since may sakit sya or maybe Chairman Ji knew it.
