Most think they're gay together, considering how much time they spend around each other, not to mention how they are closer than if they were glued together. Being childhood friends, best friends at that, they know every embarrassing detail about one another, and can practically know what the other is thinking. Sometimes even that is true, and it gets a bit scary when they share knowing looks about a statement or situation, before bursting into laughter.
If you point out these things to them, they'll swear up and down that they're purely best friends, and Levi will point out to you that he even has a girlfriend, which he's been dating for about 6 months now. Her name is Petra, sweetest little thing you could know, and she loves Levi dearly, but if she's honest with you, she sometimes feels like she's dating Eren as well in some weird, three way relationship.
"Are you sure you guys aren't gay together? Honestly, you're freaking matching right now," Mikasa pointed out to the two one day. Both looked at each other a moment, as if wearing the same outfit was completely normal, before turning back to Mikasa.
"Mikasa, we've been through this countless times," Eren began with a heavy, annoyed sigh. "Levi and I are purely friends, and he's been dating Petra for a while now. Plus," he continues, emphasizing every detail, "it's Saturday, you know Attack on Titan comes on tonight, so of course we're going to wear our AoT shirts. It's just coincidental that we bought the same shirt."
Levi nodded his head and gave an affirmative grunt in agreement. "Purely coincidental. Plus, I'm not even gay."
Mikasa couldn't stop her coal colored eyes from rolling. "Whatever, I just wish you two would hook up already. It's really creepy how much you two hang out together and not be a couple."
Levi rolled his eyes.
Eren stuck his tongue out at her.
"We're just friends," the two said simultaneously.
