Four glorious years, and both Levi and Eren found themselves walking across the stage, college diplomas and degrees in their hands.

To say that the day was uneventful was a huge understatement. With graduating college, the two lovers would be on their way to the real world, making a name for themselves and earning money, hopeful to keep building up their lives in positive ways.

"I can't handle this, my baby is growing up on me," Carla cried as she clung to Eren, who was a good foot taller than her. Tears had flooded her face, causing some of her make-up to run, but she could care less about that at the moment. "My goodness, I don't have a baby anymore. He's a young man, now, I can't call him my baby anymore." The sob that followed the sentence made Eren tear up a bit.

"Don't worry, Mom, I'll always be your baby," Eren smiled sweetly, hugging her tight in reassurance. "And you know I'll keep in touch with you, no matter what."

Levi smiled from the sidelines, watching the two exchange words. It was a bittersweet moment, knowing that Carla had every right to be upset. Her child was no longer a child, and was starting his life as a true man, all grown up and out on his own. Time to leave the best and fly away.

Levi couldn't help but smirk whenever he remembered the keys in his pocket. Right, him and Eren were going to live together now, in their own apartment. True, they had been roommates during their college times, sharing both intimate moments and funny ones, both sad and sweet times, but it was time to make new memories, in a place they could call their own. It made Levi feel all warm and fuzzy inside, something he only felt around Eren.

After a long moment, Carla and Eren separated, only for Carla to embrace Levi into a tight hug as well, the height a bit more accommodating to her than it had been with Eren.

"Take good care of yourself, and watch out for him, too. You and I both know he's a dumbass," she said loud enough for Eren to hear, a smile on her face, "and he needs someone else to make sure he doesn't put his hand on a hot oven burner."

Levi let out a small, but amused, chuckle, nodding. "Don't worry, Mrs. Jaeger, I'll make sure nothing happens to him," Levi smiled, cool silver eyes sliding over to the brunet lovingly.

"How many times must I tell you to call me Mom?" Carla huffed, hands moving to her cocked hips in a sassy manner. She rolled her eyes and smiled again, before planting a kiss on Levi's cheek. "Be good, Levi, because I know you'll go far in life."

"I will, I promise you that."

"Wow, this place is so extravagant!" Eren exclaimed as the two males walked through the restaurant doors. "How can you afford this place? It looks like you'd have to wait weeks for reservations!"

Levi chuckled at Eren's excitement, comparing him, in his mind, to a kid in a candy store. "Maybe because I made reservations weeks ago."

Eren turned to Levi, the disbelief showing on his face. "Levi, we're kids who've just graduated college, we're going to be swimming in debts for the next few years, and you decide to take me out to a restaurant, the day of graduation, that looks like one glass of wine costs $50? You don't need to spend this kind of money on me," the brunet scolded, shaking his head exasperatedly.

Levi rolled his eyes. "Whatever, let me spend my money on you if I want to. It's my money, so I do what I wish with it. Maybe I'll even buy you a $50 glass of wine. Now hush and enjoy our graduation date."

Eren huffed, but said nothing as a waitress led them to their table, a small, two-seater with lit candles, positioned underneath the huge chandelier that hung in the center of the room.

Eren complained to Levi about how the prices weren't even placed on the menu, in which Levi replied by telling him to shut up and order something before he ordered for him. Eren knew that if he let Levi get him something, he'd get the most expensive-looking item on the menu.

After the two ate, Levi paid, not letting Eren see the total on the bill, and now the two walked in blissful silence through a small park that was lit up by the moonlight. No one seemed to be in the park at the time, except the two of them, which was fine with Levi. He had his hands in the pockets of his suit jacket, contemplating words in his head as his left hand clutched something tightly in his pocket, which had been there all night.

"Is there something wrong, Levi?" Eren's voice cut through his inner monologue, pulling his unfocused attention to the brunet immediately.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, no, I'm fine, really," Levi sighed, biting his bottom lip, unsure. Eren caught this movement, and pounced.

"Don't lie to me, Levi, I know when something is troubling you," Eren scolded, stopping on the sidewalk with his arms crossed over his chest, as if he was a parent that had caught his child with a hand in the cookie jar.

Steel eyes looked up at turquoise ones, before deciding that it was now or never. "Eren, there's something I need to tell you..."

Eren's reprimanding face softened into one of both surprise and worry. "Okay? About what, exactly?" His mind immediately started coming up with worse case scenarios, the next one worse than the last.

Levi was silent for several moment, gathering his wits, hand clutching harder at the small, velvet box that was in his tightened grip. "Eren, we've known each other since before we can remember. We've been through everything together, both good and bad, like the time you thought you were broken because you found out you were gay, or when you and I drank most of your parents alcohol while they were gone. We've been through a lot together, and even when we got together. We held strong through those harsh six years from when we were separated, and finally reunited in college, all by fate. Fate brought us together, I believe, and I believe fate said I would love you. And I do, even if fate had said no, even if fate stated we were never supposed to find each other again, we did, because I love you, so dearly. So," he took a shuddering breath, before pulling out the box and opening it, revealing a golden band inside. He held it up to Eren as he looked into the brunet's widened, tearful eyes, and asked, "Will you make me the happiest man alive and just marry me already?"

Eren jumped on him, barely giving him time to finish asking the question. "Yes, oh gosh, yes!" Tears were streaming down his face and he didn't bother to hold back his sobs of pure joy, clutching Levi tight in his arms, not wanting to ever let go. "Yes, Levi," he murmured into the raven's shoulder, "of course I'll marry you."
