I flew to the location where Wally was fighting the Samurai. I got there just as the Samurai kicked Wally to the ground. He was wearing Barry's suit.
"You're not the Flash." He said. Wally ran towards him but the Samurai used his sword to throw Wally into the dumpster. Before he made contact, I made a forcefield around him, gently putting him back on the ground. Before I could react, one of the swords stabbed through Wally's leg. He yelled out in pain and then the Samurai shoved the sword through his costume, picking him up. I made another force field, throwing it towards them and knocking the Samurai back. "If I don't get the real Flash by nightfall, this city comes down." He said before flying off. I landed beside Wally, who was now on the ground.
"Wally...can you stand?" He shook his head. "Alright, um...forcefield." I made one around him, picking him up. "I'm just gonna fly you back, ok? Keep still." He nodded and I slowly flew up, keeping my hands steady. I started flying backwards towards STAR Labs.
~~~
"How long until I can get back out there?" Wally asked as Caitlin tended to his leg.
"Wally, he sliced right through your fibula. If you weren't a speedster, I'd be amputating your leg right now."
"Ok. How long?"
"Four to five hours?"
"We don't have that kind of time." Joe stated.
"You know what, I'm fine." Wally stood up, only to groan in pain and sit back down. Joe walked over to him.
"Son, son, son, you've done everything you can do. Relax."
"If it comes to it...I'll just take on the Samurai." I said. They all looked at me. "Geez, why did everyone just look at me like that was the worst idea ever?"
"That's not it. It's just...he wants the Flash. We don't know what he might do." Iris explained.
"And I will at least try to stop him if it comes to it."
"It's just...you don't really seem to be in a good place, mentally, emotionally..." Joe trailed off.
"Well, we don't really have any other choice, do we?" I asked. Iris sighed. I shook my head. "I'm not crazy about it either, but it's looking like our only choice if fixing Barry isn't an option."
"It's not that we don't think you can, it's just...we're all worried." I nodded.
"I know." I sighed, raking a hand through my hair. "Beleive me, I know."
~~~
The twenty-four hours were up, and I stood beside Joe in the middle of the street, flanked by swat behind and in front of us, with the Samurai standing in the middle.
"I don't see the Flash."
"I'm afraid you're gonna have to make do with us." Joe replied. I held my hands up, ready to make a force field at a moment's notice. He whipped his swords out and all of the guns cocked simultaneously. However, the battle was put on hold as Iris stalked towards the Samurai. "Iris! Hold your fire!"
"You want the Flash? Take me." She said. It was absolutely crazy. So crazy it just might work.
"Why?"
"Because he'll come for me."
"And how...do you know this?"
"I beleive." He picked her up and took off into the sky.
"IRIS!" Joe shouted. I put a hand on his shoulder.
"This might work." He didn't understand, as his daughter was just kidnapped, but I understand what Iris was going for. I kicked off, heading immediately for STAR Labs. I went straight for the Pipeline. "Barry, Iris is in trouble. She needs you."
