Chapter Twenty-Six: It's Kind Of A Long Story

I didn't get home though, because just as I was getting ready to take off, I got a message from Iris saying that we all needed to get back to STAR Labs ASAP.

Somehow, I got back at the same time as Barry and Ralph and we all walked into the Cortex together.

"Joe just called. Chaytan escaped from CCPD." Caitlin reported.

"Apparently, she made a tactical dummy go full 'Terminator' at the station." Iris added.

"Well, we know where she's going." Barry pointed out.

"The necklace. "

"The two pieces she stole have been united with the third piece at the museum."

"She has killed for these before. She will kill anyone that gets in her way to reclaim them." Barry stated. I put a hand on Ralph's back. "Are you ready?"

"Well...I was until you said that. Jeez Louise, man. What kind of rousing 'Braveheart' speech was that?"

"Just put your thing on!" Barry stalked off.

"You wanna help me?"

"No."

"It's really tight." Caitlin looked to me.

"Are you going?" She asked, "Because in my medical opinion I don't recommend it."

"I was just going to go as kind of a 'break glass in case of emergency' type of thing. I'll stay out of the way unless they absolutely need me." She nodded.

"Well, in that case, Cisco left this for you." She handed me a tiny, palm-sized black box.

"What is it?" I questioned. She shrugged.

"All he said was to..." She turned my hand over, placing it on the bottom of my wrist and pressing the button in the center.  The box unfolded and suddenly I was wearing my costume. I smiled, taking my arms out of the sleeves and gently pulling my dress over my head.

"That's incredible. Give him my regards." She nodded.

"Will do."

When we got to the museum, I went upstairs to watch the necklace from the railing. I could see everything that was happening, and could fly down at any moment in case of an emergency.

I watched as Mina put the necklace on and Ralph and Barry came up behind her.

"Put it down, Mina." Barry spoke, causing her to turn around.

"That belongs in a museum."

"This is a museum."

"Realized that after I said it." Ralph mumbled.

Yes. You keep it here as part of American history. But we're not history. We are still here...still sacred, as is this necklace. It's going back to the Sioux. Get out of my way."

"Not after the people you've hurt, Mina." Ralph replied. "And you're not gonna hurt anyone else." 

"Is that so?" My eyes widened as a fossilized T-Rex came around the corner. Barry and Ralph turned to look at it.

"Don't move," ralph told him, "Their vision is based on movement." The fossil roared and Barry ran off."That movie is filled with lies!" He ran over to where I was, stretching up and grabbing the railing"We have a T-Rex."

"Yeah, I saw that." I grabbed his arm, attempting, rather painfully, to pull him up. "Go to the stairs, you can cut her off." He did so and I watched as the T-Rex used it's tail to smack Barry into the case the necklace was once in. I looked over to Ralph, who had Mina in front of him. He looked down at the fossil and I turned to see that it was about to attack a security guard that had appeared.
