We Found Love

The week flew by so quickly.

I was consumed by the Pursuit of Happiness events, interviews, and photoshoots, talking with my cast members and relaying messages to our fans to support our new show. But with so much stuff going on, it wasn't long till it was Sunday, the first day of officially starting We Found Love.

The show premiered the first episode last night, so the cast held a little party to watch it together. It was enjoyable and kind of awkward to see myself act, but my co-members cheered me on whenever they saw me on the screen. But, in between the episode, there were ads of We Found Love. I tried to not tense up when I saw it, making sure that I gave no acknowledgment to it.

"There are so many ads about this show," Isla Tidwell, a singer/actress said. "I think they have the couples for this season though," 

Eduard Gilchrist, one of my other costars, replied. "Emery, have any bets on who's going to be the lucky people this season?" 

I chuckled. "I'm terrible at guessing, but I'd like to be surprised."

One of the cast members, Mason Accardi, rolled his eyes. "You're no fun." He leaned back on the sofa as a new commercial came on. "Hm, I bet Lyric Sellon, that super famous model, will be in it. She really does bring in the views."

"You're not wrong about that." Levi Griffin, another cast member, nodded. "She'd probably be set up with," he paused and then pointed a finger at Eduard. "You!" 

Eduard lifted an eyebrow in curiosity. "How?" 

Levi shrugged. "I mean, you've expressed interest in wanting to be on the show."

"That doesn't mean he's actually going to be in it," Kira said. 

"Speaking of this show," Eduard butted in. "Didn't you star in We Found Love?" 

Isla perked up. "She did! She was paired with Joshua Park, that super famous singer." She sighed dreamily. "That episode where he sang a song to you was so cute! And look at you two now, you've been dating ever since!"

Kira rolled her eyes. "It wasn't that cute." But she smiled a bit. "But enough about me, since we've been talking about this I'm really curious who the new couples will be. Are you participating in this season?" 

My eyes widened as everyone looked at me. "No way! Why would you think that?" I laugh, trying my best to conceal the nervousness.

Mason nodded slowly. "Well, you were asked a lot of questions about this show." 

I scoffed. "So were all of you." He shrugged. Before anyone could pry any further, the show was back on the screen and I sighed in relief.

After the party, it was hard to sleep. I ended up waking way earlier than usual and took my time getting ready. But oh boy, the nerves kicked in. I tried to drink some tea to calm myself, and I had Peyton distract me as we went to the We Found Love headquarters.

And we end up here, me sitting in front of Gail Talbot, creator, and director of the show.

"Emery Merill," She leans back on her chair and crosses her legs. "We are so excited to work with you!" I smile. "As am I, it's all I've been thinking about since I got your offer."

Gail smiles back. "So then you must be familiar with how this show works, right? Five years in the making and we've been doing the same, four couples taking up thirty-minute segments in the 2 hour weekly episodes, missions to keep it spicy and entertaining," I nod in understanding and Gail continues. "For the new season, we want to spice things up just a tad bit.
