Chapter 11

Mistypaw kept running, running , and running. She was still injured from the time they where captured by Rouge clan before and the wound was starting to get infected so she soon tripped from the sudden pain. Mistypaw yelped in pain as she fell to the ground. For a a moment she checked to see if any of their warriors followed them, and she was glad to see none. wait where is Flamepaw did she...WAIT SHE CANT RUN I LEFT HER THERE . Mistypaw finally realized that in her rush to escape she left her companion the one who helped her and the reason she was here now... She couldnt believe she left the one that has helped her so much. A huge wave of grief and sorrow swept over her at the thought of what she had done . " I am so sorry.. I promise I will get you out of there flamepaw " whispered Mistypaw to herself. Mistypaw laid there knowing she had to get to a safer place to figure out what to do but her thoughts where interrupted by a movement in a bush.

Mistypaw started to growl as she got up and moved into a stance preparing to fight whoever the cat may be, but hope lingered that it was Flamepaw and that she also managed to get away. " Oh dont worry I am not here to fight I want to help you, you seem like ya need it" said the new comer who slowly came from the bush. The cat had black and white fur and showed no hostility toward Mistypaw. She was a bit hesitant to trust the tom but she was injured and it wouldnt hurt to see if he could help but she still kept her guard up because of earlier. " Dont worry pal I only want to help, my name is Leo I am a loner as you clan cats call me " reassured the tom. Mistypaw was still wary of the loner and just nodded at the loner. " I can see you dont trust and its fine just a moment I will bring some herbs for that infection, I bet ya would hate to have that spread " Finished Leo before he left to go get the herbs.

Mistypaw was still debating weather to run away or stay and hope this cat will help. Before she could make a decision the cat already cam back with what Mistypaw thinks is horsetail wrapped in beech leaves. " Here ya are friend some horsetail a cat from the clans told me they be good for infections and I think they said somethin about honey too but I havent been able to find any so this should do, I am gonna need ya to stay still ok " said Leo as he got close to Mistypaw and chewed the horsetail to a poultice and then started to apply it. Mistypaw winced in pain while he applied the horsetail to the infected bite trying not to move away and run in fear of getting clawed at or ambushed by Rouge clan.

" There that should do ya good " said leo. Mistypaw looked a Leo grateful for his help . " ya still gonna need to rest for the wound to get better I hope ya can still walk a little I have a little den we can rest in " suggested Leo. Mistypaw nodded as he helped her to get up , and she kept a eye on him and kept her guard up just in case while limping beside him to his den.

After awhile of going through the forest in the distance Mistypaw spotted a little hidden cave she almost missed it but the dangling vines and blue tone in the inside made it so it could be found, but not a first glance. " Here we are, nice little place isnt it I found it moon ago as you clan cats say " said Leo as the walked in to the partially hidden cave.The first thing she felt when she entered the cave was the wet stone at first Mistypaw didnt know why but soon she heard that farther in the cave Mistypaw could hear the sounds of rushing water... almost like a waterfall. " eh hope you dont mind the floor it can get pretty wet when I fish in the river farther in the cave" mentioned Leo. " Really...does any other cat or cats live farther there or maybe at the other end " asked Mistypaw hoping that maybe this is the next place. " Other cats? maybe, all I known is that sometimes there is other cats or a cat fishing at that lake never talk to em though " responded Leo. And then she knew it this was the place to go as much as she knows she must continue she needs Flamepaw and Flamepaw needs her and that means she needs a plan. " you dont really talk do ya? well anyway could I at least get a name ya didnt tell me it " asked Leo. " uh...my name is Mistypaw " she said nervously why was she nervous, mainly because she still held suspicions  and didnt know whether to trust Leo or not.  " Well dont let lil ol me bother ya cause ya really need some rest you seem exhausted , I will just go hunt for a little " finished Leo before heading out of the cave.
