Chapter Twelve

It was 12. I'm ... dead. We just had running, swimming and power training. "Go take a shower, okay? Lunch is at the second!" I smiled and went over to the bathrooms. "Thanks Nala!" I took a hot shower and put my normal clothes back on. It was 10 past 12. That was a long shower ... I took my bag, put my other clothes in it and went down to the second floor. It was very lively and many people were talking. I went over to the counter and got some soup and bread. I sat myself down in a corner by myself, since I didn't really know anyone. I ate with some music and 20 minutes later, I was back on the seventh floor. "Ah Lyra!" Mr Nagasa walked over to me. "Glad you're on time. Now, follow me." We walked past a few halls and he pressed a code to go in a room. "This ... Is the augma." A 'thing' was lying on the desk. (Picture above) "Now, you will get this one, like we said. You asked for 2 augmas, besides your own. May I ask why?" I smiled. "Of course. Well I want to give one to my best friend, but if we both have one, then we would for surely be found out. If I had 2 extra, I could just say that I got them for her and me from the tester." He nodded. "Sure, we'll get that for you, but not for now. You can however already use your augma everywhere and say you got it from the tester." I nodded. He gave me the augma and I put it on. 'Calibrating' hmm ... So I have to wait? 'Complete' oh ... Then my eyes widened.

It wasn't the normal reality anymore. Everything around me. I could see descriptions if I wanted too, there were other beasts. "Woah ..." He smiled. "Do you like it?" "I do! Very much!" I said excited. He chuckled. "Also, there are animals, which also transfer over to the game. Once you activate it, you can't really back down." I nodded. "But it's fine right?" He chuckled. "Of course! Now scroll your right hand down and open your menu." Dots appeared. Woah ... "In the main menu, you should see a button saying 'start your adventure'" I nodded and pressed it. Everything around me changed. I wasn't in the room anymore, but I was in another room. Mr Nasaga was still with me."Now you can pick your class. Classes can't be changed, so think about it. 'A mage', one who takes control over magic. 'A tamer', one who controls all beast. 'A guard', one who restores peace and quiet. 'A rogue', one who travels with the shadows. And then 'an adventurer', one who can pick another class once in life and controls all. He or she can do anything, but not as well as the others. If the adventurer goes beyond another class, he or she will gain a title. It's possible, but very unlikely. So, who will you choose?" The five classes stood before me. I smiled and went to the adventurer. "Great choice, now let's see what your training has done."

We turned to the original room and went outside. There were so many beautiful creatures in the sky, on land, in the sea, everywhere. Until I noticed a beast with red eyes. I looked around, to try and find something. Mr Nagasa chuckled. "Here." He gave me a white small rod and a lot of options appeared before me. 'Long sword, bow, rapier, shield and sword' and some other. I picked the rapier and the rod changed into it. A second later, my arm fell down with the sword. Ughh ... "Excuse me, but why is it heavy?" He chuckled. "It's the real weight of a rapier, but you'll get used to it soon." I nodded and pulled my sword up, facing the beast. It looked like a snake, but with some other animal features. I started to run towards it and remembered my training. 'Wear gloves and slide over the ground.' I was wearing some and slid over the ground with my sword in the beast. 'A Grimer.' I saw its name and it began to attack. I quickly dodged it and ran to it. While being careless, the Grimer's tail hit me and I fell a few meters behind. "Aghhh!" It hurt pretty bad. I saw my arms and knees being scraped and I could feel a big bruise forming, but it didn't hold me back. I took a deep breath and reminded myself of Lenpato. I quickly made a few maneuvers, took a diving roll, I learned from the game, and killed it. I swung my rapier around and put it back in its place.

I walked back to Mr Nagasa, only to see him gawking. I chuckled, until I felt something furry on my leg. I looked down. "Hello there little one." I said softly. It was a purple beast and looked somewhat like a crossover between a dog, cat and some other things. It wasn't very big, just like a cat. I bended down and pet it. "Were you scared of the big monster? It's gone now, so there's nothing to be scared of ..." I said quietly. The beast licked the side of my finger. "Heh, hey there cutie." I then saw a name. 'A Forester'. Huh? What's that? It jumped on my shoulder and I walked back to Mr Nasaga. "Uhm, what is a Forester?" He looked at my shoulder. He was wearing an augma, so could see everything. "First, let me say congratulations for killing the beast. We've been eyeing it for a while, but saw no way to beat it, so never started the augma up." Oh ... "Second, a Forester is a creature of the forest. It's the one Tamers tame, but I guess it has already taken a liking in you, so there's no need." I smiled. "Uhu!" "Well, now that that is out of the way, let's go and train some more." I nodded and followed him back inside the building. My little Forester followed me too, while staying on my shoulder. Let's do this!
