Jace woke me up from my slumber. "Lyra! Get up!" "Hngg~! Fine~!" I sighed but got up. I smiled and waved the nurse bye and walked to my club-room. I went inside, but Jace didn't. "Lyra ..." He sighed. "Jace? Jace, what's wrong?" I dropped my bag and walked back to him. I looked worried, but he avoided my eyes. "Lyra ..." I put my hands at his shoulders. "Yes? Yes, what's wrong Jace?!" "I'm sorry, but you need to sort this out ..." I froze. "I'll be outside, okay?" Zane walked in the doorway. My eyes widened and I let Jace go. "W-w-what's going on?!" I backed up behind the benches. Jace walked out and Zane closed the door. "Lyra, we need to talk ..." Tears were dwelling up. "Leave me alone! You hurt me! You HURT me!" The tears couldn't control themselves and started rolling down in a waterfall. I saw his hurt face, but I couldn't care less.
"Lyra ... I never meant to hurt you ..." He sighed deeply and focused his eyes elsewhere. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was it pity? Maybe regret. Either way, I just couldn't forgive him like that. " ... No ..." He looked back at me. "W-what do you mean 'no'? I'm sorry, okay, but I just ..." I narrowed my eyes. You just what?" I saw a little irritation in his eyes. "Listen, I didn't want to hurt you." I looked away until I saw him coming closer. "G-get away!" He didn't stop and continued talking. "Just everything with Will ... I just couldn't let him take you away!" I froze. Take me away ...? Zane was standing there hurt, with his heart open to me. "Listen ... Nothing happened ... Will is just messing with you ..." "What?! Why don't you trust m--!" "NO! No, you have no right to say that to me! You have never trusted me for one bit! The second Will is in the conversation you get angry, I don't want to hear it from you." I looked down. He was the last person I wanted to heat it from. "Look I'd love to trust you ..." I looked at him. What? "But I can't." A felt something pierce me straight through my chest. I just wanted to pass put on the spot. "Are you actually kidding me right now? You can't? You have absolutely no reasoning to not believe me. It was my fault to trust you in the first place." I kept feeling more empty and empty. The sadness just got replaced by it. "But Will ..." He was looking around for assurance. My eyes felt dull like I just didn't want to anymore. "Go." "Wha-?" "I said go." I looked him straight in the eyes. "Leave. Get out."
I guessed he noticed my emptiness because he didn't respond. I turned to look outside, but the second he was getting out someone else walked in. "Hey, Lyr-- Zane?" I quickly turned around. Oh no ... Bad timing ... I forgot Will was coming by to talk about the 'incident'. "You ..." I saw Zane bawling his fists and quickly slid over the table. "Back up both!" Zane raised his fist, but I was just in time and grabbed it. "Zane-kun calm down ..." I was trying my hardest to keep Zane back, but if it came down to pure strength, I'd lose in a heartbeat. "Will-kun it's best you'd leave quick for today." I gave him a nod and he went away. After the door closed I quickly let Zane go and fell to the ground. His strength put a really great force on me. "Heh ... You shouldn't work out as much, I can't hold you back for long even if I'd wanted to ..." "Why?" I raised my head. He bend down next to me and took my hands. "Why him? Am I not good enough? What does he have that I don't?" Suddenly I forgot all that happened. His eyes looked straight at me, through me. "Z-Zane-kun?" He kissed my hands and my face reddened. "W-wa..? H-hey ... Shh ..." I took him into a hug because he seemed about to cry. "Listen ... He just found out something I can't tell anyone okay? That's all ... There's nothing, he just came to talk about that ... When the times comes that I can tell you I will ... But at the moment. I cannot yet ... Is this why you were so angry?" I just couldn't help but feel sorry. He was letting tears slip past. "You have to be careful ..." I perked up. "Why?" He patted my head. "Will is up to something, I don't care if you believe me or not, but just be cautious okay? I've known him for a long while now and he sees a lot of things as just a game, so just be careful ... He doesn't like no for an answer ..." Zane seemed sincere enough and I sighed. "I hereby forgive you, on the condition that I can actually be alone now? I lost have club time doing nothing but talk ..." He smiled. "Sure, see ya later." He got up and left for the door. "Oh yeah, don't forget my notes blondy!" "Sure idiot!" We both chuckled as he left the room.
Now ... Let's make some tea and study ... I made my favorite kind of tea and sat down relaxed with my book. "Hmm~ I call this living the life ..." Suddenly the bell rang and I jumped up. "What already? Shoot I'm late!" I quickly put my empty teacup aside, grabbed my stuff together and locked the door. While running to the gym, I suddenly saw the group of girls approaching. Then didn't seem to notice me, so I just by as fast as I could. "Wait." Uhh ... Why ... I stopped and turned around. "Yes?" Oh no, Mia ... I had a feeling she didn't like me, but I set that aside. "Do you need any help?" Suddenly the corners of her mouth raised. "Yes! Oh, it's so tragic!" I saw she was faking it, but my policy was to help everyone in need. "Okay, what can I help you with?" "So I really really have to go home, but I have cleaning duty!" I let out a small sigh without them noticing. "Sure I can do it, but I also have to leave fast, so I'll try my best." Let's go give Zane-kun his notebook first ... I turned around and started to run again. "Hey!" I looked back slowly. "Anything wrong?" "The classroom is the other way, right?" I nodded suspiciously. "Uhh yeah, but I have to do something first, don't worry I can make it in time!" Now I just ran faster, so I really couldn't hear them anymore. Entering the gym, I looked around first. No one ... I sighed and went to the door. "Hey Zane-kun, I have your notebook I'll leave it here, I have the stuff to do!" I had already turned around when he opened the door. "What stuff?" I rolled my eyes. "Chill, Mia just asked me to do her cleaning duty 'cause she has to go." I went on to running again when he stopped me. Can people stop interrupting me?! "You know she's faking it right?" I smiled. "Well of course, but that does not matter to me." He looked dumbfounded, but I just made my way over to the classroom.
To my suprise, Mia stood there with a few friends when I arrived. "Uh ... I thought you said you were leaving?" She smiled. "Oh of course I am! But I thought I'd show you where all the supplies are first!" "Okay then." Something felt off. They were all just waiting for me to come in. Luckily Mia walked in, while the others were standing there. I put my bag against the wall and walked to a big sideways door. "It's all in here! It's really big, so you might have to search for a bit ..." When I opened it, it was, to my surprise, very big. I walked in until the door suddenly closed. "Wha--?!" "Hah! Did you really think I'd let you off so easily?! You can stay the night there." "Let me out!!" I tried to move the door as much as I could, but it wouldn't even budge one bit. I'm stuck ... Wait, I could try to kick the door out? I had a lot of muscle in my legs, but before I could try, Mia had shoved a closet in front of the door. "Byebye~! Also, don't think about trying to call someone, your bag is mine." That reality just hit me hard. I'm really stuck ... It seemed Mia and her friends left and I was left in the darkness.
I'm so lonely ... After a single tear slipped, darkness took over ...
