The first few hours went by okay. The teachers were mumbling some stuff, while I took notes and worked on my own. Then the bell rang. "Class dismissed. The last school hour will be replaced by looking for the club you want to join." The teacher then left the room, it was break. What to do ... I guess I'll study the material of today, I won't have much time after ... I opened my notebook and started studying the notes. I was in full concentration, when a voice right next to me broke it. "Hello? Earth to new girl?" I lifted my head and blinked a few times. 'Me?' "Yes you." Shoot ... I turned to my right. A boy was sitting there. He had blond hair, which was uncommon, brown eyes and sat in a demeaning position. "What do you want?" I sighed. He rolled his eyes and held out his hand. "Give me your notes." I raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"

"I said give me your notes." He said a little more annoyed. "I heard you loud and clear, but no. I'm studying." He sat back the way he did and chuckled. "Wow, you're the first one to talk back at me." I looked surprised. "Really?" Now he looked surprised too. "Ugh yeah, you don't know who I am, do you?" I faced myself back to the front and raised my shoulders. "Nope, no idea, someone special?" He laughed. "Nah, just an annoying guy, who, for some reason, everyone is afraid of." I was dumbfounded. "Well you have blond hair, never thought about that?" I said a little more sassy than I wanted. He gave me a side look. "Duh, I'm not stupid. But since you won't give me your notes, copy them for me, 'kay?" He put a black notebook on my bench. "Wait what?" He stood up and chuckled. "I'm Zane. Find me in the basketball-club after school to give me the notebook back, I'm skipping." He walked away and gave me a small wave with the back of his hand.

I just realized, but the whole class was staring. Oh .... The girl in front of me was giving me small looks, hoping for me not to notice. When I looked at her, she quickly buried her face in her book. Huh? The rest of the class began to do their own thing again. When everyone was finally not looking anymore, I slightly touched the shoulder of the girl in front of me. She jumped slightly and looked back. I tilted my head. "Hi, I saw you looking, is something wrong?" She looked a little surprised, like I wasn't what she thought I was. "Y-you're n-nice ...?" I raised an eyebrow. "Why wouldn't I be nice to you? You didn't do anything wrong to me ..." She let out a heavy sigh and put her hand on her chest. "Oh good ... I thought you were a 'bad girl', because you talked to Harasho-kun ..." Whaaa ...? "You mean Zane?" Her cheeks became slightly red and her eyes were big. "Y-you call him by his first name!" "Umm ... He said he was Zane, right? What else should I call him?"

It looks like she understood and she chuckled. Heh cute ... "Well in Japan, you use names suffixes. Like -san for someone you know or just in general, -chan for a good girl friend and -kun for a good boy friend. You're only on a first name basis when you know each other for a long time, or if you're together or something!" I smiled. "Thanks for teaching me!" She brought her hands to her face and stared at me. "Yes?" "U-umm ... W-would you want t-to be my f-friend Lyra-san?" I smiled brightly and gave her a small hug over the table. "Yes! I'd love to! Also, you san say -chan!" Now we both laughed, until I realized. "By the way ... What's your name?" Her eyes widened. "I'm so sorry!" I chuckled. "It's fine!" "But I'm Nina Katoshi!" She had two small low pig tails to shoulder length hair. She was also a little shorter and had glasses. Then the teacher walked. "Let's work hard together! Talk to you later!" I smiled. "Talk to you later Nina--!" I caught myself. "Um! Nina-chan!" She smiled. I took notes like usual, letting the black notebook rest on my bench.
