We stood up, preparing to go confront Mia. I understood her father wanted to do it himself, as it is his daughter, but I felt more and more anxious the longer the augma was in Mia's hands. What if she had already discovered it? Without wasting another second we went up to go to Mia's room. The stairs were long and luxurious. On it, you could look out to the living room, sitting area, and even part of the kitchen. But the amazement of the house quickly died down when we heard a loud noise coming from one of the rooms upstairs. Jace and I looked at each other and I sped up and ran to the room. Jace was behind with the father, but they were walking a little slower not wanting to run. I opened a door where I now heard shouting from.
"Let me go! L-leave me alone!" I was surprised to see Zane holding Mia's wrist, who was desperately trying to escape. It didn't seem like Zane was going to let go, but Mia was almost crying, seeming in pain. "Zane let go!" I ran to them and removed his hand with mine, revealing a reddened wrist. "What were you thinking?!" I screamed at Zane. I maybe don't like Mia and we are here for my stuff - that she stole -, but I never want or wanted to involve violence. Zane shook his head, pushed me to the side, and looked at Mia with a death glare. "You know what will happen. Give it." She shuddered in fear, but nodded quickly and opened her wardrobe, taking out my bag that was laying to the side. In the meantime, her father and Jace were standing behind us. "Here," as Mia handed me my bag." I didn't take anything I just put it there... I'm sorry it won't happen again.." She took a step back, but the father quickly grasped her arm, making Mia let out a small hiss. "So you have your bag?" I nodded. "Yes." "Alright then please see yourself out as fast as possible. I need to speak to my daughter." I could've sworn I saw Mia's eyes more scared than with Zane, but I left it be and followed Jace and Zane back to the front door and out.
After we went out, we took the fastest route home. Tomorrow would be Friday, the last day before the weekend. More to say, the day before we are going to the company altogether. While coming here, they told me what had happened while I was passed out. When we arrived back home, Zane left for his own house and we decided to go to bed. It had been a long day and night and we needed some sleep.
~~~
I woke up feeling dead. My body ached and I felt very tired. Even so, I stood up, took a shower and changed into my school uniform. I took my bag checking if everything was there for the 1000th time. Even though I knew I got everything back, I could never be sure. I left my room and greeted Jace while going downstairs. After chatting with everyone a bit, Jace and I left for school. We arrived before the time at school and decided to search for Zane and Will. They weren't exactly at good terms, but if we were going to the company altogether, we should at least keep themselves from fighting each other.
It wasn't hard to find them. Jace and Zan were quarreling in front of my club. I sighed but quickly walked to the two idiots. Everyone was looking at them, but it seemed like they didn't even care one bit. "Cut it out!" I shouted getting in between the two. They hadn't noticed me until now and calmed a bit. "Hey blondy, let's go." While Zane wanted to go quickly, Will didn't let him. He took my arm and pulled me against his chest. I could see Zane fuming, but I was sick of the two making a fuss over nothing, so I snapped. "CUT IT OUT!" Even people just walking by stopped for a moment. "Okay, I am SICK of you two doing whatever you want ruining everyone else. Get in the club NOW and we'll get this straight because you'll both be dead before tomorrow if you don't quit this." Everyone shocked by my -not so sudden- outburst, they got in the clubroom and we closed the door. Finally getting some anger out I calmed down. "Tea anyone?" I knew the bell would ring in about 10 minutes, but it's always teatime.
"So, both of you will tell me what's your deal. We either get it solved or you will both get a one-way ticket to hell my treat." I sat down, but the boys looked away fuming. "Look, if I can't help, fine, sure that's possible, but at least don't keep the fighting constantly going. We'll be going to a MAJOR company tomorrow and I want you both to behave well." Zane sighed. "Look, we're just having some issues, but nothing you need to worry about. Will chuckled. "Oh no, he's just scared I'll tak-" "S h u t. U p ." Zane had pulled Will over the table by his shirt. "Heh, fine whatever you want. It won't be a secret forever." Zane let go and got up. "Look, I'll behave and if Will does too, I won't make any problems anymore around you or the company. But then you better make sure Will doesn't pull off something." And walked away. What in the world... "Heh... well I'll get going then," Will said also going, "I won't make any problems for you, byebye~!" In the last minute so much happened, that Jace and I were just stunned. "Umm... Does that solve your problem?" I looked back at him. "I guess so... Anyway, let's get to class."
When I was in class I didn't see Zane anywhere. It wasn't like it surprised me, but it still made me sigh. Looking elsewhere I didn't see Mia either. Huh? It was weird because she never missed class before. I didn't speak a lot to people in my class besides Nina, but that was more of a 'they don't like me so let's just leave it' kind of thing. But it was different now. I still hated Mia for what she had done, but I couldn't shake those eyes full of fear out of my head when we left. Nina was busy reviewing her notes, so I took that opportunity to get up and walk to Mia her 'gang'. "Hi." They all looked at me like I was crazy. "So I was wondering if you knew where Mia was." "So you can stab her? No thanks." One of the girls rolled her eyes. I tried to try again but in another way. "Um no, but Mia has never missed a class before I don't think, so I was just wonde--." One of the girls cracked. "She doesn't need or want you and neither do we! Get away!" I smiled sadly. "Okay then, but if you know tell me please." And I went back to my place, back to staring out the window with a sad feeling washed over me.
The class ended without me paying much attention to what was going on. I stood up still feeling uneasy. I just really can't let this go... I put my stuff in my bag and turned to Nina. "Hey, Nina?" "Hmm~" "I'm going for the rest of the day... I feel uneasy, so just take it as sick leave. Will you be okay?" She looked confused. "You sure? You almost never miss class..." "Yeah.." I nodded. "I just think there's something wrong, but I'll catch up with you on Monday." "Yeah yeah, you better call me in the weekend to tell me if you're good or not." Nina rolled her eyes. I smiled and gave her a hug, grabbing my bag. "Thanks hun! Byebye~!" She waved me out of the classroom. There was still a whole day left, so I had some time to go back home and over to Mia's house. Her face full of fear was just not sitting right with me. I passed the teacher's office for sick leave and left school to go home. Everyone was out, so it was quite easy getting in, changing in some clothes rather than a uniform and taking my bag with my augma. I wanted to take it with me if I needed it.
I arrived at Mia's house. I looked around, trying to see if someone was home. Somewhere I didn't just want to go knock on the door and especially not if it was a school day and I had no reason to be here. I saw no cars and no light turned on. I couldn't believe Mia wouldn't be home though since she couldn't be somewhere else. I looked around and when I saw no by-passers, I jumped over the fence to the backyard. I put on my augma and turned it on. It didn't seem like any monsters were nearby and Sy looked at me. I patted her head and looked at the house. I was checking for heat signals and bingo. I saw a body sitting in a room upstairs. It seemed like it was a girl's body. Mia! I looked around, but there didn't seem to be anyone else in the house. I started whisper-screaming to the window. "Hey! Mia! I'm here to talk! If you aren't opening your window or door to let me in, I'm breaking in!" I waited for a second, hoping for an answer. After a minute of silence, I sighed. Breaking in it is then... The second I wanted to pry open the backdoor, I heard a clicking noise. "Why... Why are you here..." The voiced sounded a bit shaky and it came by surprise. I took my augma pff a,d looked up. "I'm worried Mia. We might not have been getting along, but I do worry. Something from last night didn't sit right with me and you have never missed class before. I'm here to check up on you. Will you let me in?" After a couple of seconds, I heard a deep sigh. "Just wait there, I'll come get you."
