This life we all live

This world we so love

How our lives get tangled

In this spiderweb of love?

All the treasures we adore

All the things we should ignore

We forget that all that glitters

That all that glitters is not gold

This worldly life we have

The allure that it enchants

When we take off  our rose tinted glasses

An ephemeral epiphany is all we have

This world so small, yet still so large

A golden globe filled with poisoned darts

Draped in silky strings of hate

Venom is what drips from within

Why do we get attached to a life so fake?

Do we like to get stabbed, then twist the knife in?

Leaving our wounds open, letting our hearts bleed

Why do we run from love, when it is all the medicine that we need?

Our life is so small, our time is so young

Why do we hate, when we can just love?

Spend your time wisely, for it is all that you have

An ephemeral epiphany

That is all that we have
