As she walked along the bay

She noticed the gleam and sparkle of the wave

The very wave she used to love,

Used to adore, used to obsess over

But that, that was the past

Brutal and vile

A wave that drowned her happiness

A wave that stole her childhood
The one that took away her everything

Her mother, her father; her future, her present

Her hope and her love

Her everything that she had

She becane lost and forlorn, upset and depressed

Cut off from the world

The same world that caused her so harm

Such sadness, such depression

But that, that was the past

Today was her future, all rich and bright

Here she stood, on the peak of success

Everyone at her feet, everyone on their knees

But she didn't care

Because it didn't matter anymore

As her tips touched the liquid

She felt a wave of emotion

A wave that shocked her, rocked her whole body

From the head to the toes

'The irony of it,' she thought,

How much her life has changed

'And the irony of it,' she thought,

That it all started with a wave
