All that glitters is not gold
I wish this was something I was earlier told
You were a diamond and I a lapidary
The way you attracted me was quite scary
How bright you so gleamfuly shined
The Sun was at your mercy, you divine
How sharp your edges, how colossal your beauty
How blinded I was, my heart now a fury
How polished and shiny was your exterior
Figures how it failed to reflect your rotten interior
You were a jewel every craftsman sold their soul to
The battleground deadly where people went to wars to
You wrapped my heart around your finger
Glued my heart, made me linger
You played me like a game where you always won
Destroyed me in the end, scattered my pieces and then you were gone
What good did it do you to show me no mercy?
You could have loved me back
And we could have avoided this destructive controversy
