I skipped from Niall’s room to the kitchen after the boys left.
“Oh, hello Chloe,” I said and rolled my eyes at the fake blonde girl.
“Hmm.” Was all she said and gave me a fake smile.
“Where’s my brother?” I asked her as I poured myself a glass of chocolate milk.
“I don’t know.”
“Well you’re a lot of help,” I mumbled under my breath as my brother came through the door.
“Where were you?” Chloe asked, rather rudely.
“I went to get you, Jay, and Niall breakfast.” He answered her, not recognizing her attitude.
“Well what is it?” The blonde asked and looked in the bag that my brother was carrying. “Ugh. Doughnuts. You know I can’t eat that. I’m dieting!”
“I’m sorry, Chlo!” My brother said and followed Chloe out of the room after putting the bag on the counter.
I looked in the bag. There were three bags of little doughnuts and I took them all out and started eating.
“I totally forgot that she couldn’t eat those.” My brother said as he came into the kitchen with his hand in his short black hair.
“Why is she on a diet? I’ve seen tooth picks bigger than her!” I looked up at my brother. By looking at us, you could definitely tell we were related. We both had black hair and bright blue eyes. We looked a lot like our mom.
“I know. She says she just wants to keep her figure.” Jace answered.
“Oh.” I ate another doughnut. “Well, are we going to have sibling day?” I smiled at my older brother.
“Definitely,” He smiled back at me.
“Okay, well Chloe can stay here and I can have my friend Lily come here to keep her company. Lily’s a year older than me and I’ll tell you about her later.” I told him and grabbed my phone that was plugged in on the counter. I dialed Lily’s phone, “So how old is Chloe anyways?”
“She’s just two years younger than me which makes her twenty-two.”
I nodded as Lily answered her phone.
“Hey Lil.” I said to her.
I could tell I woke her up, “What do you want?”
“I need you to do me a favor.”
She paused, “What is it?”
“Well my brother’s in town and he has this girlfriend that I need you to keep company. It’s sibling day and I want it to be just my brother and me since I haven’t seen him since I moved here.”
“Fine. I’ll be there in thirty minutes.”
“Thanks, you’re the best.” I said and hung up on her and looked at my brother, “Lily is going to stay with Chloe.”
He nodded.
“I can’t believe you’re twenty-four already.” I said and spaced out a little bit. It was hard to believe that my brother was that old. I know twenty-four isn’t that old, but it seems like it.
“I can’t believe my little sister is eighteen already.” He said, “You’re legal to drink.” Jace winked at me.
“Why am I not surprised that you would point that out?” I said to him and skipped to my room. I was doing a lot of skipping today for some reason.
