“How is everyone tonight?!” Liam’s voice was heard throughout the arena.

Screaming.

“Ready to sing a few songs?!” Harry asked.

Screaming.

“This is One Thing!” Niall said.

More screaming.

“Is that all they do? Scream?” Lily asked me.

“Yeah, pretty much.” I laughed. She didn’t go to many concerts and this was the first One Direction concert she’d been to.

“Well that’s annoying.” She said and sat down backstage on the couch. On her left was Raegen and on her right was Thad, who wasn’t working..?

“Thad, aren’t you supposed to be doing some techy type thingy?” I asked him.

“Probably.” He said and turned his attention towards his phone.

“What’s wrong?” I asked and watched Raegen get up. I guess she didn’t care about hearing about a gay guy’s problems. Rude.

“Nothing.” He tried to brush it off.

I wasn’t about to believe that, “Thad, I know I haven’t known you very long, but there is something wrong. I can see it.”

“Ethan looks at Harry like..like.. Well, I don’t know how to explain it.” He said, his eyes looked sad.

Lily started laughing, “Ha! Harry! Gay! That’s.. that’s funny. Oh no, Harry is just so far from being gay, it’s not funny.” Lily’s eyes widened after she said that.

“Uhh, well I’ll talk to you later, but Thad, don’t worry about Ethan. I’m sure it’s nothing.” I told him and put my hand on his shoulder as I sat next to him.

“Thanks Jayden,” He hugged me and stood up.

Now it was just Lily and me. “So.”

“What?” She asked, her eyes still wide and her face was as red as a tomato.

“Harry’s ‘so far from being gay’?” I quoted her from earlier. “What’s that supposed to mean?” I wiggled my eyebrows at her.

“He broke up with Emma.” She told me quickly.

“What?!” I asked, and stood up.

She pulled my hand back down to her level on the couch, “Don’t say anything. No one is supposed to know.”

“So this is why she couldn’t come last night and that is why you two were so close?” I asked her, smiling.

She just grinned in return.

“Jayden, you’re on in five.” Raegen appeared again.

“Holy crap, they’ve already sang half of their set.” I said and ran towards the stage.

“Aren’t you worried if they like don’t like you?” Lily asked as she ran after me.

“Not until you said that!” I said as I was handed a microphone.

“Oh, whoops, sorry. You’ll do great, I’m sure of it. Don’t worry. Be happy.” She said as the boys finished their last song.

I rolled my eyes at my friend and took the stage. “How is everyone tonight?!” I yelled.

Screaming.

“Good!” I said sarcastically. “This song is one that helped me get my start in singing. This is ‘My Wish’.”
