"The Girl Who Lived" Draco x Cecilia(an OC)

Part 3

My new friends and I exit the train and we are greeted by a tall man with a frizzy beard, wearing a big coat, and was holding a lamp.

"First Years! Follow me! First Years!" he boomed.

I saw Harry and Ron approach him.

Harry's eyes lit up, and he said, "Hello again Hagrid!"

"Hiya Harry!"

I turned to Draco, and said, " I wonder how he met Harry...."

"Beats me," Draco said shrugging.

We approach a large lake, lined with boats. And just ahead was the Castle in all its glory.

I turn to Draco who's just as in awe as I was.

We jump as Hagrid, calls, "ALL RIGHT, THREE TO A BOAT!"

Draco jumped into the nearest boat and looked back at me, "Hey Cecilia, hop in!"

"Okay!" I say as I climb in the boat, almost falling out.

Draco helps steady me, and I sit down. Crabb and Goyle and in a boat with another kid, so Draco and I had an extra space in our boat. A lonely looking girl came up behind our boat. Her very short White-Blond hair was neatly tucked behind her ear. She looked around anxiously with her light blue eyes, looking for an boat with an extra seat, and her eyes just so happened to land on our boat. I look at her and say, "Hey, come ride with us!"

Her eyes lit up, and she happily joined us in our boat.

I was stuck in the middle, so i was the one rowing, which i didn't mind. It was relaxing.

Soon enough we reached the shore on the other side of the lake. I gently placed the oars down and carefully exited the boat. Following close to Draco, as not to lose him. The girl on the boat with us seemed to go her own way.

The entire group of first years followed Hagrid to a set of stairs. "Well, this is where I leave ya. Professor Mgonagall should be here soon to explain. Just follow the steps".

We followed Hagrid's instructions, and we saw a woman in a black hat and a green dress. We all silenced as she looked down on us. I could tell we were all intimidated by her.

"Welcome first years. Behind me are the doors to the great hall. When you enter, you will be greeted by your classmates, and it is where you will be sorted into your houses.Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin."

When she said Slytherin, she looked directly at Draco and me.

"Each good action," she continued, "earns your house points. Any rule break-"

"TREVOR!!" a kid shouted.

He grabbed a toad that was sitting on the step in front of Professor Mgonagall.

After grabbing his toad, he looked at the Professor and apologized meekly.

He looked like that awkward kid from earlier.

After he returned to the crowd, a few kids including Draco, chuckled. I elbowed him for laughing.

"Ow!" he said, playfully glaring at me.

I stuck my tongue out at him in return, and Professor Mgonagall continued.

"As I was saying, each good action earns your house points, and any rule breaking, and you will lose points. The house with the most points at the end of the year, will win the house cup."

I looked over at Draco, who was looking at Harry. I could tell he was plotting something.

"I will leave you momentarily, and I will return when they're ready for you" Mgonagall finished, and left the room.

As soon as she left. I heard Draco say, "So the rumors are true. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts."

I heard various students mumble throughout the crowd.

Crabb and Goyle suddenly appeared behind us, as if on command.

"This is Crabb, Goyle, and Cecilia" Draco continued introducing each of us.

"And Im Malfoy. Draco Malfoy." He said as he approached Harry and Ron.

Ron chuckled.

"Think my name's funny, do you?" Draco snapped. "Well look at you. Red hair, and a hand-me-down robe. You must be a Weasley" he looked smug.

Draco looks back at Harry with a sly smile, "You'd better be careful not to make friends with the wrong sort. But don't worry, I can help you there." Draco reached out his hand.

Harry looked at his hand as if it was gum on the bottom of his shoe. "I think I can decide the wrong sort for myself, thanks"

Draco returned the disgusted look, and returned back next to Crabb, Goyle, and me looking annoyed.

I was going to ask him what that was about, but Mgonagall came back before I had a chance to say anything.

"They're ready for you now." Professor Mgonagall said with a smile.

The doors opened behind her to reveal a large hall with tables divided into four long rows. We all enter in awe at our surroundings, except for Draco, who was still upset about earlier. I look at him and I say, "Hey Draco, forget about the Harry thing. He's totally missing out on an awesome friendship opportunity!" I say smiling in an attempt to lighten the mood. Draco chuckled and smiled.

We approach the teachers table where I see Dad. I waved at him, and he smiled at me. I turn around to Draco and I could feel Dad's unapproving gaze. His eyes are piercing through my skull. I talk to Draco while names are callled. I was barely listening. All I know is that Three people got Gryffindor in a row, I don't really care enough to figure out who.

After a few more names are called, I hear, "Draco Malfoy".

He leaves my side and steps up to the sorting hat, and when only placed centimeters above his head, the hat called out, "Slytherin!"

I don't care what stupid rumors people say about students in Slytherin. I could be with Dad, and Draco, and maybe Crabb and Goyle. My friends.

I eagerly awaited my turn on the stool of destiny. Name after name was called, still not mine. Until I heard it.

"Cecilia Snape!"

I began to walk up to the stool. I felt people watching me. I heard people whispering.

But I didn't care.

I sat on the stool proudly.

The hat was placed on my head.

And I heard it talking.
