Jimin didn't know where he was going. He was buzzed out, he had drunk 3 of those bottles of beer before he even tore the cabin apart.
He couldn't feel anything. At this point, he didn't care if he died.
There was nothing back home for him, the only one he had was Yoongi. But now that he was gone, who was there to go back too?
Yoongi was the only person (other than his hyung's and Jungkook) that had stayed by his side through everything. His father's overdose, his mother's murder. Everything.
Jimin would be nothing without them. He'd be nothing without Yoongi.
Everyone was gone, everyone he had ever cared about had vanished right before his eyes in a span of three days. All because someone decided to keep the information to himself.
Jimin couldn't bring himself to do anything to Jungkook, he had watched the younger grow up. The thought of ever harming him sent shivers up Jimin's spine.
He couldn't hurt Jungkook, no matter the circumstances. Especially when Jungkook looked just as confused as he did.
Jimin had noticed Jungkook's odd behaviour during their first week. He'd always go to bed early, he was spaced out during breakfast, lunch and dinner, he'd stare off into the woods whenever they would sit outside together.
Jungkook was always in his own world.
The only other person that seemed to notice was Jin-hyung. But they had both agreed to keep it to themselves and ask the younger about it after the trip so he wouldn't be uncomfortable while on vacation.
Jimin and his hyung's cared for Jungkook so much...
Why couldn't Jungkook return the favour just this once?
Why did he have to keep it all to himself? Was he in on it? Did Jungkook know this would happen?
There was a part of V that was familiar to Jimin. Like he's seen him before. They knew each other, Jimin was sure of that. When Jimin looked at V's face the morning he returned to the cabin with a gash on his chest there was something in his eyes he found familiar, he's seen those eyes before, he's seen that face before, he's heard that voice before.
But where?
Why couldn't Jimin remember?
For a split second, he felt something in his brain change, unlock. Like a flip had switched in the depths of his memory.
"You know, no one's ever gonna like you. You're weird."
Jimin stumbled, almost landing on the... Sand.
Sand?
He was at the river.
The river where all his friends were forced to lay to rest. Where his Yoongi will eventually lay to rest. He stood, and walked clumsily towards the shore, he was still buzzed from the drinks he had this morning but it was better than before.
Jimin looked at the rings in his hands.
PJM
MYG
That's how it was supposed to be, just Yoongi and him against the world. That's what Yoongi always said to him. But what was left? A pathetic boy and two rings with no fingers to latch onto. Promises were broken, words left unsaid and truths untold.
Jimin was nothing now. He stepped back and launched the rings into the coursing river tides, the bright gold being sucked into the brownish red of the waters.
He watched as the waters head downstream towards parts unknown. Jimin lifted up his shirt, he'd always been very insecure about his body, the only person that's ever told him how beautiful he was, was Yoongi.
But now he had a dead boyfriend, an ugly body and an even uglier scar.
It was big and thick. Running from his left shoulder to his right hip, it was quite shallow but it was enough to cause a lot of bleeding. The scar tissue was a dark brown and it covered a good portion of his cut, it was still healing.
But Jimin didn't want it to heal, he wanted it to disappear, along with the rest of his being.
"I should just die right now," Jimin said, he let down his shirt and stared up towards the sky.
A voice called out behind him.
"I think so too, that's why I'm here."
Jimin spun around, his head getting fuzzy before focusing on the person that spoke in front of him. And low and behold, it was the fucking demon himself.
Jimin laughed, still not in his right mind. "Hah! Won't you look at that! The man we've all been waiting for! The man that started it all!"
He tilted his head slightly, staring at Jimin with a faux confused look on his face. "Jimin, I think you've got it all wrong. You're the one who started this. If anything it's your fault, not Jungkookie's"
Jimin's mouth gaped, his eyes were wide with fury and his hands dug into his palms. "My fault? How the fuck can you say this is my fault?! What the hell did I do to you huh?!"
"You took the only person that's ever cared away from me. So now I'm returning the favour." V said, slowly coming towards the stumbling boy.
"Bullshit." Jimin stuttered, "I barely even know you."
V stopped in his tracks, his signature smile plastered right on his youthful face. "Really? You don't remember?"
He laughed, and slowly took his hands out of his pockets. Two bright silver knives shined against the sunlight and shimmering waters.
"Maybe if we play around a bit it'll jog your memory, hyung."
Just face it, stupid. No one likes you, and neither does Jungkook.
No... It couldn't be.
He was pulled out of school.
No one ever saw him again.
Why would he show up now?
How did he get here?
The alcohol finally got to Jimin, and his knees became weak. He felt his eyelids getting heavier. What was happening to him?
"Ahh, so it's finally getting to you huh? To think that destroying a cabin after drinking 5 sleeping pills with beer would take a toll on you. But you had enough energy to run your ass all the way here." V clicked his tongue, holding Jimin's throat in his hands.
Jimin's eyes began to wonder, looking at the treeline. He spotted the familiar black haired boy that started it all.
Jungkook.
Jimin looked back towards the man in front of him and a small smile spread across Jimin's soft features. "I'm sorry," Jimin said, and for a moment there was a slightly surprised expression on V's face. But Jimin continued, "You must've been so irrelevant that you slipped from my mind."
V wiped his face with one of his hands and chuckled. "Am I irrelevant now? After I've killed all your friends and your beloved boyfriend?"
Jimin started to feel the grip on his neck, the loss of air and the sleeping pills made everything fade away much quicker.
"Even in your next life, you'll remember my name. Kim Taehyung."
•••••••
You see Jimin? Being a smart ass gets you killed, it looks like you would've had a chance.
Even though the sleeping pills would've killed you anyways.
So as it turns out, that my cramps don't hurt during the night. And lucky for me I write these chapters at night/early morning. So I was able to get this done without my head exploding.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!!
