"After I found you last year, I never let you out of my sight. I followed you wherever you went to make sure you were safe. I know it sounds odd but I loved you too much to let anything bad happen to you." Taehyung smiles softly staring at the younger's features, who looked off to the side in slight embarrassment.
The younger watched Taehyung's lips as the older spoke.
"It was also the year I did more research on you friends, I learned their schedules, family history, medical history and everything. I wanted to know who you had gotten yourself involved with."
"That night, when Jin mentioned the trip during dinner. I knew that I had to come up with a perfect plan to keep you all to myself for as long as possible." Taehyung added.
Jungkook nodded and stared at the floor between them. He knew he started this conversation but the situation they were in put him on edge. They were supposed to leave soon and they were here instead of hiding all the evidence. Maybe this would've been better for the car ride?
But nonetheless, Jungkook kept asking questions. "Did you have access to my home? The dorms I mean, the one I shared with the rest of them."
Taehyung nodded, "Yeah, and that's how I was able to get Jin's laptop. It was easy because I had all of your schedules, I observed enough to know what time you'd be at the house or not, how long it takes for someone to go from one end of the hall to the other, etc."
"And I suppose you knew everyone's passwords?" Jungkook asked.
"That's the first thing they teach you to figure out."
That particular sentence caught Jungkook's attention,
They?
Who's they?
What do they have to do with Taehyung?
"So that night, I stood by the balcony and I could see into the dinning room. I stood there for a while, watching everyone from the beginning of dinner. I waited until the table was cleared and everyone would be in bed. Jin worked at around 7:00pm, and Namjoon always goes to drop him off. So they both wouldn't be in the house, and it gave me a span of ten minutes to collect all the information I needed. Which wasn't much." Taehyung said, crossing his legs and folding his hands together.
Jungkook thought back to the beginning of the year, and all the memories of which he felt like he was being watched. Was that just Taehyung all along?
I supposed whenever you think there's someone watching you, there always is.
Jungkook thought.
But his eye widened when he suddenly remembered something;
Jungkook turned around slowly, holding the severed head high up in the air. Almost like a trophy for being correct.
"I caught something, and it isn't a fish."
The couple
Who were there before him and the other boys. Why had Taehyung been there?
And why did he kill them?
"Taehyung, tell me," Jungkook stared, he leaned forward on the couch and rested his elbows on his knees. "That couple that rented the cabin before Jin had, why didn't you let them live? Why had you killed them for seemingly no reason?"
Taehyung chuckled lightly, "The answer is simple baby, I was angry."
"Angry?" Jungkook asked.
"Did Jin ever reschedule the trip with you?"
Jungkook nodded, "He texted in the group chat, that it was better for us to go a week later than planned. I don't know why though."
"Had it ever occurred to you that Jin knew what was going to happen? If he hadn't he wouldn't have killed himself."
Jungkook's eyes widened, "Taehyung what do you mea-"
"Maybe Jimin wasn't the only person I wanted to get revenge on."
