After a long hour and a half of reading from the textbook the bell finally rang letting us know that School was officially over for the day. I gather all my thing and stand up and make my way to the door. "We don't talk for a period and you forget all about me?"I turn around and see December holding her books. Ah shit I did totally forgot about her. "I'm sorry I thought you were still mad at me about you know early."
December rolls her eyes and walks over to me and keeps a slow speed walking in front of me until she's at least five steps in front of me and she stops and turns her head around "Luke, I'm sorry I snapped at you it's a sensitive subject and just so you know just cause I'm a little mad at you doesn't mean I don't want to talk to you. I'll get over what's bothering me or I'll tell you but I won't freak out at you again."
I give her a small smile and walk right up beside her "I forgive you December, next time I won't be so upfront about stuff like that. Now enough of this let's go meet Ashton!" I keep walking getting closer and closer to the front door. "I think you'll get along great with ash he's funny and sweet and works at KFC so we eat there quite a bit and."
"LUKE!" I stopped a little freaked out about her out bursted, I turn around to face her. She looked a little stressed with her wide eyes.
I walk back to her and reach my hand out to touch her but stop. She freaked out last time I touched her so I bring my hand back to my side. "Are are you okay? Should I call my parents, or my brothers? Probably not them cause there pretty useless in some situations like this one tim-"
She slowly moves to the side of the hall and lets her back hit the wall and slowly slides down and rests her face in her hands. "I'm fine Luke. It's just a little stressful to meet all these new people at once. It's just a lot in one day." She looks up at me and makes eye contact before she closes her eyes and slowly breathes in and out and mumbles 'only for a bit. I can do this.' She slowly pushes her self back up and looks a lot calmer mow them before. "Okay I guess I'm ready." She slowly but at a decent pace and walks to the door with me.
As we make our way out the door and I look around to see if I can spot Ashton's car. After a couple of seconds I see his car in the far right corner of the parking lot. I look over and grab December's hand but she quickly pulls it way, I slowly move my hand to my side "Ashton's car is just over there let's go." I slowly walk over to the car and every once in awhile I'd somewhat look back to make sure she's following me. I get right up to the car and fling open the passenger door wide open. "Hey guys"
I pretty much throw my body into ashton's old car. It smell wasn't new to me it was a mixture of a pin Christmas tree car freshener and kFC chicken. I look over at December who was focused on the set of tree that lingered beside the school. "Winter come sit with me." Michael gets out of the car and leads her in to the car, into the middle between him and Calum as Michael gets in he sends me a little wink.
I turn around in my seat to look at them. I'm glad that her and Michael clicked so well I feel like this would be ten times harder but it's like she's Comfortable with him. I hear a shifting noise from beside me and then suddenly feel a head near mine. "Hey! I'm Ashton or Ash which ever one you like. I heard all about you and I'm so excited to meet you and I believe we're going to be great friends!"
I stare at December, she looks at Ashton for a second to figure out how to handle the situation. She takes a deep breath in and let's it out after a bit and she gives ash a smile "okay let's do it. Let's be friends."
I blink my eyes to make sure it's the same girl I talked to in the hallway. When I opened my eyes to still seeing her I turn my body to face the front. She was trying, slowly but hey she's trying and that's a start I'm okay with. I buckle myself in and elbow Ashton softly "okay come on mate that's enough staring and lets get going before you freak her out and she runs for the hills."
