Chapter 5 - Cam & Cat (pt. 1)

It had been almost a week since Cera had returned back to Konohana from the city. She had adjusted herself well enough to perform her work very well at the farm. She was also able to catch up with her relationship with the townsfolk as well. In short, she had been pretty good in managing herself between works, and building her relationship with the townsfolk. Not only with the Konohana's townsfolk, but also with the Bluebell's townsfolk. She had befriended Philip and Ash, the boys who showed her around the first day she came to Bluebell. She was of course was easily able to befriend the girls at Bluebell too, Georgia and Laney. Even the older ones had got to know her too. But, there's just someone she could not really get that close too yet, the flower boy called Cam.

It might be because she was too busy with her works and the other townsfolk that she had rarely talk to him, or she could not meet him when she had some free time. Not to mention that he would always leave the town every Monday. But, that did not stop her from trying to befriend him, though, and today was no exception. However, first, she had to do her routines at her farm first.

Just like always, she woke up early, brushed her teeth, took a shower, and worked at her farm, and tending to her dogs and livestocks, before going around town to talk to the townsfolk, sometimes giving them gifts, especially on their birthdays. She would also check the request board daily to help the townsfolk with their needs. After that, she would went back to her farm to get her pony, Blanc, and ride him towards the neighbouring town, Bluebell through the mountain. Of course, she would not forget to visit Sheng whose house was outside of Konohana, just before the mountain.

At the mountain, she would occasionally stopped and got off her pony to take some items that would help with her work or needed for the requests she received. It was not rare to bump into someone who was also walking around the mountain as well. She mostly saw Reina, Eileen, Sheng, and Ina who often took a walk around the mountain for their own businesses. However, it is pretty rare to find a certain someone at the mountain. Actually, it was her first time to see a certain dirty blonde haired boy at the mountain.

Unsure about what he was doing and whether she should approach him or not, she just stood at her place for a while beside her pony before she saw that he was holding onto something. Curious about it, she walked closer to him slowly. After realising what he was holding on, she couldn't stop her voice as she spoke out suddenly, "A cat~?!" Her loud voice apparently had shocked the poor boy and cat as they jumped up abruptly, and the cat had jumped out from his hand. "Ah...!" She gasped surprised and guiltily as she just realised what she did and she quickly slapped her mouth closed. "S-sorry..." She apologised as the boy turned to look at her.

He sighed as he asked, "What are you doing here?" Cera just sweat-dropped awkwardly before answering, "I was on my way to Bluebell when I spotted you." She said as she saw him looking around the area. "Uhm... What are you doing yourself?" She asked back as he did not really reply her answer. "Looking for the cat." He simply said before he spotted the cat jumping to the bushes. "There she is..." He mumbled before walking to where the cat was. Cera just watched him as he took the cat carefully, petting her to calm down.

She blinked as he returned back to the tree. "Is she yours?" Cera asked then looking at the cat in his hands. "No, she isn't." He replied short. "I just found her when I was taking a stroll." He added as he sat down under the tree, petting the cat. "Hmm~" She mumbled softly smiling as she crouched down to look at the cat carefully. It has white furs with some orange and black spots. "What a cute Calico cat." She said as she tried to pet her head too. Cam turned his head to look at her and found out that she was smiling as she was petting the cat. Noticing that she was being stared at, she gazed up to look at him.
