~Later that night~ (Mall parking lot)
"Where is it?" Scourge asks while Shadow steps forward pulling out an envelope from his jacket and handing it to Scourge.
He takes it and looks it over. He chuckles and looks at Shadow, "You really didn't open it?" Shadow shrugs, "I don't open other people's mail."
Scourge smirks, "Really? What if I was hiding something? Maybe it was something important." "Would you lie to me if it was?" Scourge stared at him in silence.
Shadow walks up to him and fixes the collar on his jacket, "Scourge, I can assure you that if anything happens to my girlfriend, the gang, Amy, hell even Sonic for that matter because of you, I will be a problem for you. I promise you that."
Scourge still holds his smirk and folded his arms, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you don't trust me."
Shadow turned and walked away, waving at Scourge, "I never trusted you, Scourge. You said we shouldn't be suspicious. Best if you get out of here before any one notices."
Scourge watches Shadow walk off and looks at his jacket. He looked at the envelope and nodded with a smile, "Smooth. I really do like that hedgehog."
~At Sonic's house~
"Sonia told me that the rest of their friends are on this side. Do you think they know what's going? Or even know who's involved?" Rosy said laying on the bed in the guest bedroom of Sonic's house, as she watched Scourge fix his leather jacket. He rolled his eyes and grabbed the envelope Shadow gave him, "Pretty sure. But, there's a lot more to this than I thought."
She chuckles, "Are you saying these people have you stumped? I thought you were familiar with a lot of bad people in this town." "There's still a bunch of things I don't know about these people and what their motive is. So far these are just new people...or probably just new tactics. I just need to introduce myself." He knelt down in front of a book bag and placed a bunch of items inside.
She scoffed at his statement and sat up to look at him, "You know you still haven't told me what's going on. For all I know you could be back to your old ways and do you really want to go through all of that again," She got up from the bed and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around him. "We got out, Scourge...that should be enough."
Scourge didn't look at her and she sighed, backing away from him. She folded her arms and frowned, "Fine, well if you're not gonna pull back from this then, I want to help stop these people before it gets any worse. That means you have to tell me everything. No more lies and no more secrets."
He only laughed and shook his head. She growled, "I'm serious. You're gonna tell me everything about this or-" He stood up and glared at her, "Or what?" She didn't back down at his intimidating stance and made one of her own, "Or I'll find out myself." He chuckled and scoffed, turning back to the bag and continued to put items inside, "Yeah, nice try. You're not pulling that again. I'll know when you're following me."
She smirked and pulled out his phone, "I don't need to follow you, Scourgey. I read your text messages with that stranger so I know your meeting spot. And I also have the number so I can just text him myself. Could be avoided if you tell me the truth." He quickly whipped around, snatched his phone from her hand and growled, "You went through my phone?!"
