~Shadow's POV~

Hmph...a very weird hedgehog indeed. I've met a lot of weird people in my life...and I mean a lot. But she was different...

"To me, it just seems like someone didn't truly let their feelings for a certain hedgehog go like they claimed they did."

"...just cause you had some crazy ass crush on Amy doesn't mean everything that goes on is entirely my fault, alright?! You don't get to dictate what goes on between her and I!"

"Knuckles told me everything that happened between you and Amy. I'm doing everything I can to keep Amy happy and safe and the last thing I need is you bringing me down with your jealousy!"

Crush?...Humph...Tempting but...no.

~6 years ago~ (Valentine's day)

Ugh...Valentine's day. The most annoying day of the year. Nothing but, stupid couples who want to show off, single people, and glitter...so much glitter.

I'm not really a celebratory type of guy...I hardly even acknowledge my own birthday...but, it wouldn't be the worst thing to celebrate an event with someone you care about, that's what she would say right? Friends...hmph, family...

The number of people I could say I tolerate, let alone 'care' about, can fill up at most 5 spaces on an index card. And before I knew it, one person changed all of that.

"What do you want Sally? I told you I'm not interested in him..." I heard a very girly bubbly voice say as I was walking out of the middle school building. I had just finished my last class for the day before I get ready for work. It was my day off because of the holiday and my age but, I wasn't dating anyone so...more money for me.

"Are you sure? Because you two seem very close. I'm just making sure someone isn't overstepping their boundaries." I heard another girl's voice but this one had a very condescending tone. I peeked around the corner and saw who the voices belonged to, along with two other girls behind the conceded one.

"Of course Sonic and I are close. We've known each other since kindergarten." "No but, I mean like you two are scary close. Almost like you two are secretly dating." "Why would we need to date in secret?" "Is it that baffling? Look at you. I wouldn't want to be caught dating a loser like you. You're about to go into high school and you're still wearing pigtails and glasses?" The three girls surrounding the pink hedgehog started laughing. I then saw the pink girl frown, "Well I like them...and so does Sonic." I winced at the sound of that once I saw the brown one clench her fists.

'Well, she's done for.' I saw the three girls walk closer to her and I sighed, turning my head away from the scene. I soon heard punches being thrown, grunting and a whole lot of crying. I shook my head and continued walking. 'This is not my business. This is not my business...This is NOT my business.'
