(Back with Sonic and Amy)
The two are now finished with their shopping and are now in the car driving back to Amy's house. The car ride was very silent and they both knew it. Sonic kept making glances towards Amy and grumbled under his breath.
'"You should come over for Thanksgiving dinner, Mark." , "it would be so fun to have you over, Mark." "Oh my Chaos, Mark!" Are you freaking kidding me?? She doesn't even know that guy!'
"Sonic?" Amy said snapping Sonic out of his thoughts. "Yes?" He answered without looking at her. She pointed at the gas meter, "You're low on gas." Sonic looks at it and groans heavily.
They pull up to a nearby gas station and Sonic starts filling up the car. As the car fills up, Sonic sits in the drivers seat, texting on his phone, huffing and puffing.
Sonic~ I just dont understand the reason for that! I'm way past annoyed rn
Shadow~ I agree. But you know that pink hedgehog is too sweet. It's not surprising -_-
Sonic~ This whole dinner is gonna be a disaster. How am I supposed to focus on Amy and her family when some creepy badger who spiked my drink is gonna be there the whole night?
Shadow~ well who's more important?? Amy or that badger
Sonic~ You dont understand...that guy is a weirdo and they were getting all buddy buddy and all of that shit. Every word he says she just giggles like a little school girl. Is that not weird?!
Shadow~ well with the amount of texting I heard they've been doing I'm not shocked. His friend even said they've gotten close since the party
Sonic~ what do you mean they've been 'texting' !!!!???
Shadow~ oh I assumed you knew...I feel that's something I wasn't supposed to say then :(
At this point, Sonic started boiling with anger and Amy noticed. She reached out for his hand, "Sonic, is everything okay?" He hopped up out of the car, before she was able to touch him. "I'm fine!" He took the gas pump of the car and hopped back in the car. He started the car again and drove back to Amy's house with silence filling the car again.
~
After a while, they were slowly pulling up to the house and the silence was driving Amy insane. She didn't like the vibe she was getting from Sonic and it was enough to make her feel some type of way.
"Sonic, if there's something you need to say to me then please say it. I don't like this angry silence." Sonic shook his head and continued driving, "There's nothing to say. I don't want to talk about it." Amy rolled her eyes and sighed, "Fine."
Sonic quickly parked the car in the driveway and turned to Amy, "Okay, help me understand what that was back there." She looked at him in confusion, "What was what?" "You invited that guy to the thanksgiving dinner with your parents?!" Amy frowns at his statement, "I invited someone over for dinner you act like I committed a murder." "Well it wouldn't kill you to tell me you were planning on doing that." "You have a problem with me inviting Mark to dinner?" "What was your first clue?"
Amy scoffed with her anger slowly rising, "Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot!" "I'm not talking to you like an idiot. I'm just saying you could have at least told me that you were secretly texting some guy and getting all buddy buddy with him!" She huffs at him and gets out of the car, slamming the door behind her, "You're so unbelievable." Sonic frowns at her actions and follows after her, "Don't walk away from me!"
