I sat up in this bed and looked around I didn’t know how I got here. Everything was a blur. The doctor came in and it was Shad or Dr. Moss as it said on his coat. “ Long time no see but I’m sad to see you in this predicament, let me check your vitals” and he pulled his tools out and started giving me a check up. He took my vitals and he said “ your healing pretty good you just got a few bruises to your stomach and head but your fine any questions”? he asked me. “ yeah when did you become a doctor?” I asked him. “ about 7 years ago” he said. “ why?” I asked him. “ because I had a daughter that I gotta support now and because I was tired of stupid little jobs and I wanted real money” he said. “ you got a daughter?” I asked him. “ yeah you can curse me out now if you want to Angelica already did that, their outside in the waiting room if you want to see them?” he asked me. “ yeah but I wanna meet your daughter?” I told him. “ what ?”  he said. Then the door opened and the nurse came in with a crying little girl and she said “ I’m sorry Dr. Moss but we couldn’t get her to stop crying”. “ thats okay its fine” he said as he took the little girl from her arms and started rubbing her back and she said “ daddy”. “ why were you being so mean to the nurses for I was coming right back huh no new toy for you now right?” he said. “ sowwie luv you” she said and hugged him and then laid her head on his chest. “ Arianna this is Shai and she’s me daughter” he said. “ hi Shai ”  is all I said. She looked at me and just smiled. “ say hi shai” Shad said. “ hi ” she said and laid her head back on her dad’s chest.  “ well we gotta go now its past her bedtime” he said and he left the room. I sighed and  then Megan and Angelica came in the room and the both said “ your awake and you look a lot better now ” they both said. “ what happen to you?” Megan and Angelica both said. “ kevin he snapped” I told them. “ where  is he I’m kill him” Angelica said. “ Calm down” Megan said. “ yes calm down ” a familiar voice said and she came in and I said “ mommy”. “ hey baby how are you, you had me so worried” she said. “ I’m fine now” I said. “ who is this boy Angelica want’s to kill?” “ my boyfriend kevin he went crazy because I lied to him” I told her. “ what where is he I want him arrested?” my mom said. “ I don’t know” I said. “ she was all alone when I found her Megan” said. “ oh ” my mom said. “ what are you doing here Megan?” I asked her “ yeah I wanna know to” Angelica said. “ I missed you guys so I came to visit you” she said. “ oh ” me and Angelica said at the same time. It was silence and we all just looked at each other. Then Chris walked in with some flowers and he handed them to me and everyone looked him. “ this is my bestie chris mom” she said. “ I see lets leave them alone ” she said and they all followed her outside. “ hey” I said. “ I’m sorry” he said “ there’s nothing to say sorry about ” I told him. “ but it I would have never forced you to like me then you  wouldn’t be in this predicament” he said. “ its fine he’s gone now and we both learned our listen no more cheating for us right” I told him“ right” ’ he said. We were both silent. Then Shad came in and said “ just checking in my shift is over here’s my card if you your in pain or anything” and he handed it to me and left. “ who was that?” chris said. “ my doctor and my ex boyfriend who I just seen today I haven’t talk to him or seen him in a long time” I told him. “ oh lets see if you can be released today” he said and he got up and left the room.  He can’t be jealous right no he can’t be.

I walked out the room and went to her mother and said “ we check to see if she can be released now” and she went to the nurses desk and started talking. I was crushed I seen the way she looked at him and even though she said she didn’t see him in a long time I know those old feelings came rushing back him. I guess this is a new challenge that we have to face now I guess.
