"What was that all about?" Duke Egbert asked the lyrist.

"The little white owl is your son," said Leandro. "I'm not sure who the big owl was, but I can find out."

"Do you think this happens every night?" Egbert asked.

"Probably yes," answered the musician.

"Oh, my poor child!" cried the Duke of Oakwood. "What can I do to protect him?"

"You cannot protect your son from his destiny," the musician replied. "But you can help him to handle it and become much stronger."

Leandro suggested that Egbert and Ermelinda kept Arthur's bedroom windows shut at night, especially at midnight. He wanted to visit a wise woman who could tell him more about the meaning of the dream. She would be able to help them resolve their son's nightmare.

The lyrist promised to come back to Oakwood Castle after one month. He would bring an answer, and hopefully a solution to the troubles of the child and his parents.
