A flickering light swings up above with the curtains that had lined the windows being ripped and torn.

The sound of creaking awakens (Y/N) and she wearily opens her eyes. Holding her head, she groans, taking time to adjust to the new surroundings.

''What's going on?'' The sound of her voice is hoarse and clearing her throat, she looks around.

The familiar look of a train carriage makes her frown, even more confused and turning to the side, her eyes widen. There sat Nathan Drake, buckled up with his hands and stomach drenched in blood and his eyes shut tight.

''Nate!'' (Y/N) shouts.

The scene behind him catches her eye and she stares out of the window; picturesque white landscape of a snowy cliff.

''What...?'' Nate groans, causing her to look back at him just as his eyes flutter open. He grumbles as he looks down, his eyes becoming wider once he notices the wound in his stomach.

''That's my blood... that's my blood, that's a lot of my blood.'' He mutters, leaning back and chuckling in a dazed phase.

''Nate.'' (Y/N) repeats and he looks at her. Before he can say anything, a wooden crate and oil drum flies past, making them duck to the side. Nate looks down to see them falling out the back of the train behind him.

''Alright, I think this is our stop.'' (Y/N) breathes, unbuckling her seatbelt. As she does this, Nate's chair starts to break away and he is quick to unbuckle and jump, grabbing hold of the seat in front of him.

His seat falls, but Nate struggles to hold on as he groans in pain from his stomach. A few seconds more and he slips, falling through the train carriage.

''Nate!'' (Y/N) tries to grab his hand as he passes, but they miss each other completely. She leans over her seat to see him hanging on the handrail on the outside of the carriage.

''I'm okay!'' He calls.

''Just hold on! I'm coming down.'' She shouts back.

''Why would I ever let go?'' He replies, and even in this moment she rolls her eyes in annoyance and slowly clambers out of the seat.

Making her way down, (Y/N) uses the seats and anything she can to grip onto. At the last chair, her footing slips and she falls, her knuckles turning white as she grips onto the handrail.

''Welcome.'' Nate says and she shakes her head, not surprised by his reaction to all of this.

Their train carriage is teetering, dangerously over the edge of the cliff.  A fire burns on the mountains nearby from the destruction.

Nate begins to lead the way as he moves around the handrail and climbs up the train's base frame. By their movement, the train shakes underneath them and a large boulder falls from the edge of the cliffs above.

(Y/N) is quick to press herself against the train as the boulder hurtles pass and she looks up to see Nate looking down. ''You okay?'' He asks.

''Oh yeah, just great.'' She responds.

The snow falls and swirls lightly around her and she follows Nate, climbing up the yellow pole. It begins to creak, a sound that never leads to anything good.

''It's okay... it's okay, come on.'' Nate reassures himself more than (Y/N). Yet as he continues, the pole pulls away, swinging him out and around to the side as he yells.

(Y/N) continues up, making her way out as he swings across, jumping back onto the train. She swings, the freezing air biting at her and the pole falls behind her.  They climb around, coming onto the roof of the train and they move up towards a gap.

Nate jumps across to the seat, looking up and grabbing the one above. (Y/N) follows his lead and as she stands on the seat, she looks down, suddenly regretting it as her head snaps back up and she feels queasy.

The pair move through the carriage. (Y/N) waits for Nate to move off the seat, but it has other ideas as it swings and crashes through the glass window, taking Nate back outside.

''Could you not break things and make it even more difficult?'' She grumbles, jumping to the now broken window and following him outside. She shimmy's her way up the pole and nearing the top of the carriage, the train shifts and edges closer off the cliff. It makes a door on the side of the carriage swing open and all the luggage falls out.

(Y/N) moves onto the open door, hauling herself up onto the other carriage and turning to help Nate. He manages to slowly pull himself up, hissing and groaning as his wound bleeds. As they stand at the end of the second carriage, the train creaks and moans under their weight, shifting forward once again.

(Y/N) wastes no time in pushing Nate forward, stumbling over his feet and they run through the carriage. He jumps, landing on the mountain with a shout as he falls on his front.

''(Y/N)!'' He shouts, turning to see her push her feet off the ground, grabbing the edge of the mountain and struggling to maintain a grip.  She looks down as the train crashes and bounces off the cliff, falling into the white abyss below.

Nate scrambles to lie on the floor, grabbing her hands and he helps heave her up onto the mountain. He falls back onto the floor, his hair covered in snow and the blood staining him.

''Nate...'' (Y/N) breathes, her voice coming out weak as she breathes in the icy air. Shivering, her vision fades in and out as Nate's own eyes close.

Looking around, she spies the rest of the train, wrecked and burning but darkness seeps in through the corners her body crashes next to Nate as she lets it consume her whole.
