Adrien's POV
I rushed to the hospital, and as the doors automatically open, I sped inside. I ran to the counter and asked, "Where's room 102?"
"Turn left, up the right stairs two times, turn right and to the stairs, right, left two times, third on your right."
"Ahh…" I said in a confused way. The counter sighed.
"Or you can take the lift. Third floor." She responded coldly. I thanked her and ran to the lift. The lift was closing, I used all my energy to slip through that tiny gap just in the nick of time. I finally caught my breath, and went to press the third floor. Turns out it had already been pressed.
"ADRIEN?!" A recognizable voice yelled.
I turned around. It. Was. Alya. With. Nino. I gasped. ⊙_⊙
"What are you doing here?!" Nino asked. "Alya told me you were gonna go home and catch some z's."
"Well, I kinda missed Mari so I wanted to visit her…?" I said. I gotta warn Mari about this. I quickly took my phone and texted her.
A: Mari!!!
M: Oh, miss me?
A: No! Alya and Nino are with me!
M: Tell them to not come in!
I scratched my head as I looked at them anxiously. I had to tell a lie…
Mari's POV
I was panicking on the bed. What should I do?! The doctors will tell the news the moment they come in. I want it to be a surprise for Alya, and Nino. For now, I wanted to tell Adrien. I hope Adrien is dealing well with this. Just then, I heard a knock. And another. And another.
"Marinette?" A girl voice asked.
Ugh. I guess he didn't plan it to well.
"Should I let them in, Miss?" I nodded in reply. Selena unlocked the door and yelled loud and clearly, "Enter!" Alya, Nino and Adrien all come in. Adrien whispered 'sorry' before Alya turned to him and asked "What was that?" And I said "He must be mumbling." and winking at him. Alya and Nino put presents next to the table near my bed. Selena put a big smile on her face and walked to me.
"Mrs. Agreste, may I tell them?"
"Don't worry, I'll tell them myself." Selena nodded and left the room. Alya and Nino were confused. I sighed and said nothing. There was an awkward silence. Adrien kept scratching his back head while Alya and Nino were still waiting what I'd say.
Ding~
"Shall I get it?" Nino started the conversation. I shooked my head and pointed at Adrien. "It's the oven, make sure it's fully baked." I said to confused Adrien. He got up and went to the oven. I smirked, can't wait to tell the surprise.
Adrien's POV
"… make sure it's fully baked." Marinette said. I got up and as I went to the oven, I turned around to find her smirking. Why? I thought. I opened the oven carefully and saw…
"There's just a bun in the oven."
Everyone REALLY went silent this time. Alya and Nino's jaw dropped and a wild smile appeared on their faces. I scratched my head more.
"Don't you get it, darling?" Mari asks. I shooked my head. She sighed and patted her tummy. "We're gonna have a new member soon." At that moment I blushed so hard I could see smoke. Alya came to my rescue and pours her soda drink all over my head. I could only stare.
Mari's POV
Adrien did seem quite quiet after what I said. He was really blushing really hard that I giggled. He began to ask all sorts of questions
"Should I prepare a room? Is it a girl or a boy? Am I supposed to buy baby cloths for them? OmgI'mSoUnpreparedI'mTheWorstFatherEver--" I pulled him and gave him a kiss as I smiled. "No worries. The baby is fine. Plus, it's going to be months for the baby to come out."
Adrien just stood there. Nino, knowing what to do, ruffled his hair.
"Way to go, dude! You got yourself a new dude, or dudette!" Alya rolled her eyes. She got used of him saying 'dude' and 'dudette'. Adrien, finally waking up, hugged me tight while happy tears streaming down his eyes.
"I'm gonna be a father!!!" He said, still hugging, while everyone congratulated us, and they all left, one by one. It was sunset, and I saw the orange sun hides behind the hills, getting ready for the next day. Even though I slept for three days, I still yawned loudly. My eyelashes fell, drifting of to sleep, dreaming of me and Adrien holding a baby, our future baby.
