Sunrise (After Breaking Dawn)

Chapter 6: Dreams and the in-law

As I walk back inside, I go over and sit with Bella.

"Where's Ness?"

"Carlisle is running some tests on her and the baby."

I nod and sit patiently.

"You can go to bed. You won't miss anything."

"Okay," I say as I walk up to bed.

Once I get to my bedroom, I go into the bathroom and take a shower.

After my shower, I slip into my pajamas.

I climb into bed, thinking about Zac and Ness.

Slowly, I drift off to sleep.

. . .

Suddenly, I find myself on the top of a waterfall.

It's very high up, but it's an incredible view.

I turn my head to the right to find Zac. He's grinning uncontrollably. He looks ecstatic.

He grabs my hand, and we jump.

SPLASH!

We swim quickly to the the surface and take a deep breath.

He wraps his arms around me and kisses me. I kiss him back harder and enjoy the moment.

Suddenly, the water turns into blood.

Zac stops kissing me and tries to get out of the water quickly.

The blood overwhelms my system, and I dive for it.

I swallow the blood in mouthfuls.

I go up for a breath.

I smell the scent. The scent is now fowl.

I suddenly throw up.

I get out of the water, and Zac looks shocked.

We decide to sit and do nothing. I lay in his lap while he holds me. Suddenly, I feel something in my stomach move.

"YAHHHHHGHHHHHHH!" I scream as an excruciating pain envelopes me.

I jerk awake and rub my eyes.

My warm bed makes me feel like I shouldn't wake up, but I get up anyway.

I walk downstairs after changing into jeans shorts and a blue lace tank top.

Ness sits on the couch with Alice watching the news.

Ness' stomach bulges more than it did yesterday. She looks six months pregnant rather than two days.

I grab a boiled egg from the fridge that Esme made yesterday.

I sit down next to Ness and watch with them.

"Did you sleep well?" Alice asks me.

"Eh..." I answer back.

"Bad dreams?" Ness asks.

"Sorta. The first half was a really good dream, but the second half was a nightmare," I reply.

"What was it about?" Alice asks.

"Nothing really."

"Tell us!" Ness says as she playfully punches me.

"No!"

"Please!?" they ask in sync.

"Fine! It was about the future."

"What?" Alice asks in shock.
