Yeah, and so is every other weapon in the universe.
Like knives get a bad reputation for being overused and cliched which, while accurate, is just a giant 'ughhhhh' moment for me every time I read/hear someone complain about people not being ~CREATIVE~ with their weapon choice.
First, knives are one of the easiest weapons to get your hands on, especially, if you're a human.
A demon? Sure, you can have a specialized weapon.
A ghost? Knock yourself out.
A monster based on old folklore? SURE, THAT WOULD MAKE PERFECT SENSE!
If you are a human, you use the most dangerous weapon you can find and can ensure death, either quickly or slowly.
Sure, you can use anything.
A rock, a gun, gardening tools of all sorts, hell, if you got time and are into torture, then blunt weapons are the way to go.
But, for the love of everything, can we stop acting like knives are so cliche and things like swords and daggers are so much more 'realistic' and interesting for creepypasta character to get their hands on, especially when they're human.
Using a knife as a primary weapon is more reasonable than using a sword because, honestly, which is easier to carry around and conceal when tracking down victims and evading capture?
