Welcome to the Creepypasta fandom, your suspension of belief is needed for every story you read and for something as simple as a mass fanfiction of creepypastas featuring characters that already don't have solid personalities and can be manipulated.
I don't get the whole disgruntlement.
It's suppose to be fun.
However, the slender stabbing incident, may have played a part in the souring people's perspective of the Slender mansion which is fair and completely justified.
I would probably like the slender mansion trope more if it wasn't immediately linked to romance, but that's a personal preference.
Slender Mansion is just a mass excuse for the fandom to have character interactions on a different level. Is the characterization 100% solid all of the time?

But I honestly only read these types of Creepypasta fanfics when I'm in the mood for it, other than that....
Not my cup of tea.
