Ticci Toby is, by far, the most interesting creepypasta because he is by far the most unhinged by the end of his story and the buildup is fairly good for a creepypasta/proxy character.
My real issue is the fact that no one really wants to explore Toby's mental state outside of 'hyperactive teen who loves waffles', he is obviously more than that.
He literally lit his house on fire to fake his own death after murdering his family and ends up becoming a proxy. His major motivation being that he has no choice, he just killed his father, faked his death in a fire, and is probably worse off because of lack help with his multiple mental disorders.
Toby's weapon of choice, hatchets, is actually something interesting because he doesn't kill his father with it. Toby uses a knife to kill his father and has an emotional breakdown while his mother escapes and then he tries to kill himself via fire.
However!
Slenderman (not the operator, HUGE DIFFERENCE) saves Toby and Toby, having nowhere to turn and wishing to evade capture, becomes a proxy.
More than likely, his upbeat personality would be more unsettling than just normal teen behavior. The fact that he can't feel pain, coupled with the fact that he's a proxy, not only is it terrifying, Toby isn't faking the fact he can feel the injuries you might cause him. There is no 'i'll kick him and escape' or 'i'll punch him and run'.
NOTHING SHORT OF KNOCKING HIM OUT, WILL SAVE YOU!
So in short, Toby is a much more complex and dangerous character than what he is credited for and if waffles are used as a MAJOR part of his proxy lifestyle, I will be quietly disappointed.
