I remember this one time when I was a kid, in which I was playing in the pool.
And then, just like that,
there was no oxygen in my lungs.
I feel in love with you the same way I almost drowned - all of sudden, from one heartbeat to another. With chest aches and scary thoughts.
I feel in love with you the same way stars die - fast and loudly, even though no one can hear it.
I didn't fell for you at the moment I meet you - I just remembered I loved you.
Because you see,
I've been loving you for millions of years. I've been loving you in all the ways and forms one may be loved.
The first time I loved you, you were a prince committed to someone else and I was paid to bake your bread. I married a man my father meet in the war but I still slept thinking about you.
The second time I loved you I had the chance to purr in your ear each morning. I loved you so much I always peed in the sandbox and never on your carpet. Except for once, but you didn't notice.
I've been reincarnating in the hope that someday we get the chance to hold each other's hands. I've been your slave and your cat and your thief and your mother and your president and no matter how many lives I live, I always come back for you.
No matter how many lovers I have, I'm always looking for you.
I didn't drown because I knew this was my lifetime opportunity to find you once again and then I did.
I don't know how many lives I spent without breathing but every time I see you -
you take my breath away.
