Chapter 9- We'll Meet At The Court

Meanwhile: Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

"That's enough practice for today!" Ennoshita announced.

"Hayss, that was tiring." Yamaguchi complained. Tsukishima on the other hand, is busy at his gadgets.

They packed their things and left the Gym. "Oi, King. What with the gloomy face?" Tsukishima teased Kageyama.

Kageyama snapped at his thoughts "Nothing." He replied.

They are second years now, they even made it into nationals without the use of the Fast attack and the synchronized attack. Still, Kageyama have a bad feeling about the nationals.

"Tobio-chan, what's wrong." A famillar figure popped out of nowhere.

Kageyama looked back to see Oikawa leaning at the Gym Door. "Tooru, What took you so long?" Kageyama shot Oikawa a stern gaze.

"Oww, Tobio, don't be like that. I'm busy at my part-time job." Oikawa made his way to Kageyama.

Kageyama took Oikawa's hand and they left the school.

While walking, Kageyama's still bothered. He couldn't remove his thoughts.

"Are you okay, Tobio-chan. You've been spacing out a lot lately?" Oikawa asked in a worried tone.

Kageyama didn't respond. Oikawa accepted this as a no. However, he have an idea of what Kageyama is thinking.

They seperated ways as soon as they reached the train station.

Another Day

The morning practice began. Silence filled the whole Gym. You'll hear nothing except the squiking of the shoes. The sound of the ball hitting the floor.

"It's quite without him, don't you think?" Nishinoya spouted. Kageyama was taken back.

"The former captain said that we can't talk about him. The captain said that we have to forget that he even existed in this club in the first place." Ennoshita said in a low tone, but still agreeing.

"We've defeated every opponents. However, we didn't see any sign of him." Yamaguchi informed.

"Do you think...That he quited Volleyball for good?" One member brought up.

Kageyama dropped the ball, getting the attention of those around him. "S-sorry, I'm just sleepy that's all." Kageyama reasoned.

Ukai and Takeda-sensei arrived at the court.

"Everyone, listen up." Ukai-kun said getting the attention of every single soul in the Gym.

"Our first opponents will be the representatives of America." Ukai-kun announced.

Everyon started murmuring.

"I decided to tell you this because. They are different from every opponents that we've faced." He continued. "They defeated all their opponents in less than an hour."

They all stood in shock "So you mean... If we're caught off guard then..." One member asked.

Ukai-kun sighed. "Yes, we'll get destroyed." He answered

After the announcement. The members stayed silent. Nishinoya kept walking back in fourth. "How are we supposed to beat a team like that!?" Nishinoya panicked.

Yachi approched them. "Calm down, Nishinoya-kun." Yachi said.

"Yachi-san, do you know who their captain is?" One member asked.

Yachi stopped for awhile before answering. "No... But I heared that their captain is an aggresive ace." She answered.

Kageyama let out a sigh. "What school is it?"

Yachi give Kageyama an answer and He frozed in shock. "T-that school?" Kageyama asked in surprise.

The members looked at each other. "What's wrong with it?"

"N-nothing.. I just have a relative who's studying there." He reasoned.

The bell rang and they went to their respective classrooms. Kageyama is still spacing out. 'That school huh. I guess, We'll meet at the court afterall."
