Years Ago
"Mom, why did dad left us?" An innocent child at an age of 5 asked.
The mother hesitated "He doesn't love us anymore." And a sadness formed her face.
"What do you mean, Mom?" The kid asked out of confusion.
"You'll understand soon. I'm sorry." The mother said while shaking as her tears fell and hugged her son.
A few months later, The mother got married. They we're on their way to meet the Step-Father.
"Where are we going, Mom?" The kid asked. The mom turned her head at her child "We're about to meet up with your new Father and sibling." She answered cheerfuly.
When they arrived, they we're greet by a man not many years older than your mother. Behind the Step-Father is a young boy.
The father introduced himself after that, the young boy behind him finally decided to speak up.
"Dad, who are they?" He asked.
"They are part of our family now, okay?" He replied. The boy nodded. "Anyways, this is my son. He's name is Kageyama Tobio. I hope that Tobio and your son will get along." He introduced.
"Oh my, he's such a cute little kid." The Mother commented. "By the way, this is my son, his name is Hitori." The mother continued.
After the introductions, the family decided to go out for dinner, Everything was going smoothly as day passes by, however. Tobio was highly favoured by Their parents. He got praised for being talented and a lot other things. Hitori, aside is totally the opposite, he rarely gets complements and praises. Hitori tried to understand their feelings.
They we're now in Grade school when the bullying started. Tobio didn't try to get involved neither did he try to protect Hitori. Hitori became alone, not too long, Hitori picked up a hobby, and that is playing volleyball as a setter.
Hitori would practice every free time that he have. He felt as if his old cheerful self is back and he's actually glad. He wanted to be good at something that his brother isn't. When he returned home, he saw his parents laughing and celebrating at the dining area for some reason. When they notice Hitori, they decided to ask him if they could join him.
"Here, have a sit." The mother said happily. Hitori looked at them with confusion for a while "What's going on?" He asked with a confused look on his face.
The mother looked at him with a smile on her face "Your brother is officialy a member of a volleyball team as a setter in your school. I always wanted to play back then as setter but thats quite impossible for me since I have a weak body, and hearing that one of my son is playing volleyball in a very young age is quite a surprise. I'm really proud." After the mother finished the sentence, Hitori frozed in shock. He couldn't believe what he just heared. He then congratulated his brother, after that he went on his room and decided to sleep instead of thinking about it.
He continued practicing hoping to be noticed. He decided to keep it a secret, for now. A few months later, his parents found out that his playing volleyball, The mother was joyful but not as joyful when she heared about Tobio playing volleyball. Hitori then felt as if fate is playing agaisnt him.
As he practiced on the playground a group of boys then approached him; one of them is Tobio. "So its true that your really playing volleyball. Not just that, as a setter too." He said in a serious tone.
Hitori looked at him. He decided to kept silent. "Let me get this straight, You'll never be a good setter, with that weak body of yours." They walked away when Tobio stopped at his tracks "You should just give up volleyball." He added.
Hitori tried to access everyword that his brother told him. He knew that his brother could be rude but he never thought that he would take it that far as to hit him where it hurts.
Years later
Hitori decided to study in America for middle school. He never did gave up volleyball and continued for many years.
He thought that if he studied in America, everything would change, but he was wrong, everything is much worse than he though. He got bullied several times, after the realization that he shouldn't be nice to anyone anymore. He started to act tough and would usually provoke people. He also gets into fights but he could careless anymore, Not too long when he builded up reputation. He was able to play peacefully again. He's parents would usually call him through sites and other communication tools and would somehow tell him about his brothers life in Japan. He got sick and tired of hearing about him. For Hitori, Tobio always gets what he wants. While he couldn't. Later on, Tobio became a well known setter however, because of Tobio's self-centered attitude back then, he decided not to mention his surname nor about being related to Tobio.
Dear Readers,
Sorry if it took me so long to update, I'm in a verge of writer's block in this story. I was thinking about what I'll write at the next chapter and a chapter after that. BUT I'm really Sorry (>_<). I'll try to update as much as I can. Also, In this chapter, Its more likely to explain why Hitori doesn't like Tobio that much and to also explain what Hitori's behaviour like back then. Thats all and thank yoouu.
