Chapter fourteen

Right there in the hallway was both Jaebum and Jeongin.

"Okay listen here-" Jaebum started "-How could you?! When you know that I like her!!" Jeongin yelled. He ran up to Jungkook grabbing him by the collar, Jungkook just threw him over his shoulder pinning him down, "Calm down!" He yelled.

Jaebum came running up to me, "How are you?! Are you okay?! What happened?! Are you-" "-Enough! I'm fine! God just let me breathe Jaebum! Why are you even here anyways?!" I shouted at him.

He tried to come closer but I shoved him away, "Don't come any closer to me!" He looked taken aback but that soon changed once he looked Jungkook dead in the eyes, "I swear I don't care if you are a cop I will murder you if I find out you did anything worse than kiss her! For gods sake-" without reacting I slapped Jaebum across the face, "Would you shut the hell up, he didn't do anything other than kiss me. Besides why the hell would you care?" I spat at him.

"And you Jeongin I'm sorry if you like me but I can't return those feelings back to you. And Jungkook I'm not sure if I like you or even more... love you." Everyone's eyes widen, "You don't even know what love is." Jaebum spat.

"And you do?!" I yelled back at him. He looked really angry and it kinda scared me but I have to be strong. He came over to me grabbing onto my arm, "We're going home." I didn't want to move so I kept my feet planted to the floor. Jungkook came over to my side grabbing onto Jaebum's arm, "Let go of her." He growled.

Jaebum had this almost demonic smile, "Listen here... bunny boy, you barely know her and you're dating Lisa anyways. So answer this for me bunny boy if you say you love Zoey when you barely know her then why date Lisa someone who's you're age and doesn't have any problems. Huh?" Jungkook's eyes shot wide open just like Jaebum just seconds after he finished his question.

Realizing that he said I had problems. I wrenched my arm out of his grasp, "Zoe-" "-No don't fucking touch me! I hate you get the hell out of my face!" I yelled shoving him out of the room. Jungkook followed him.

(Authors pov)

Jungkook with Jaebum outside of the room, "I can't believe what I just said." Jaebum said as he gripped onto his hair. He couldn't believe it, he's always promised that he'd beat the crap out of whoever was dumb enough to say stuff like that and here he is saying it himself.

Jungkook walked him out of the house since Jaebum decided that he should give Zoey some space.

Once Jaebum got home, "Where's Zoey?" Mark asked. Jaebum held his head low, "She's gonna stay the night there." He said not making eye contact with either of the males in the room. "But that was never the plan Jaebum." Mark said trying to be as calm as possible.

"Just let her stay there she'll come back when she wants." And with that he walked away but not before Lisa stopped him, "Listen here you stupid butler. You go get that little problematic child out of my boyfriends house or I'll make sure you end up jobless and on the streets!" She whispered yelled at Jaebum.

But at this point he didn't even care. He deserved to be jobless and homeless after what went down tonight. Who was he to tell Zoey what to do and not do? It's not like he's her parent. And she never saw him as more than a butler.

Right?

(Zoey's POV)

"I think I'm just going to go spend the night at Felix's house." Jeongin said as he walked away, "Wait! You can't leave." I stopped him by grabbing onto his arm. He snatched it away, "Don't bother trying to stop me it won't work. Now go hang out with your stupid so called 'lover' " and with that he left.

I felt bad really but I just couldn't return his feelings back. I'm sorry but I just don't like him that way. Yes in the beginning I thought he was super cute and sweet but I don't know what happened in the end I guess Jungkook got my heart strings in a knot.

Jeongin left the room slamming the door behind him. I sunk down to the floor, hugging my knees to my chest, head hung low.

I'm used to always being called a 'problematic child' or just being told that I have 'issues' from everyone, but when someone you think that you can trust says it, it stings.

(Authors pov)

Jungkook saw as Jeongin had a bag and was heading out, "Where're you going?" He asked, "Going to stay at Felix's house." Jungkook stared at the younger, "Why not stay? We could all watch a movie, I'll make some popcorn it could be fun!" Jungkook said enthusiastically.

Jeongin took a deep breath in, "Nah it's fine I already told Felix I'd be there in ten." Jeongin said waving Jungkook off.

"If he's coming to pick you up then he's welcomed to stay as well." Jungkook suggested. Jeongin was getting even more irritated by the second. He just wanted to get out of the house away from Jungkook. The poor boy doesn't get to live his own life. Everyone judges him the minute they meet Jungkook.

Jungkook's the best looking in the family, he never does anything wrong. Their mom always worries about him since he's a cop, even though she never supported his decision on being a cop.

At first when Jeongin was younger hearing that his brother wanted to be a cop sounded cool. To Jeongin that was like saying his brother was going to be like a superhero.

It was at least like that until he was expected to be like his brother, strong, athletic, and competitive. But Jeongin was none of those things. He was the small sweet boy that always allowed the grandma on the street pinch his chubby little cheeks. He was even best known for his dolphin scream, yeah his voice went high when he was scared or was just screaming for fun with his friends.

But it's like everyone has a different view on him once they meet Jungkook. But to Jeongin all Jungkook was, was a step brother. He used to look up to him until he was being expected to be like him. Jeongin never knew his dad so when his mom remarried he was excited to have a father figure but that was until he realized his new father would never be around.

He was always too busy on business trips, his mom going with her new husband everywhere. Jeongin was always with Jungkook he practically followed him around like a little lost puppy.

But things are about to change now, he will no longer follow Jungkook around like a lost puppy, no instead he's going to become and independent man.

And the next time he ever makes a new friend he won't be introducing them to Jungkook that's for sure. He knows who is true friends are now and Zoey is definitely not one of them. He just wants to forget everything about her, the way she made his heart pound in his chest whenever she would smile, how her eyes would sparkle when she talked about her passions.

Yeah he may have not known her for long but he did indeed fall in love with her. Fall that's a key word, those who fall end up hurt just like he did.

He fell in love with the dark and mysterious angel by the name of Zoey Wang and what did she do, she let him fall. His heart aching but now he knows. He knows never ever get attached to anyone unless he for sure knows who they are.

And he most certainly will never ever forgive Jeon Jungkook his dumbass step brother.
