I held her hands, and started to worry that she could feel me sweating. I took a deep breath and slowly got onto one knee.
"Clara, I love you with all my heart. You have completed my life and I don't think I could ever carry on without you. So, will you marry me?" I opened a small velvet red box and inside was a beautiful shiny ring. Her hands flew to her mouth and tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Phil, oh, Phil! Yes!" A tear slipped from my eye too as I slid the ring onto her finger.
I stood up, shaking with happiness and hugged her.
"Phil, I love you." Her eyes were waterfalls now and I saw people starting to gather around us and clap.
We pulled apart and all the Australian's started congratulating us.
10 minutes later we sat down and enjoyed the rest of the tour. "Proposing on a boat in Sydney, Australia. Yeah. Okay, that's pretty romantic, Phil" Clara said beaming.
