Jimin woke up the next day, rubbing his eyes from the long rest he took. The boy alone expected to receive messages from Jungkook about him asking about his morning, but as soon as Jimin checked his phone, there was nothing. Just messages from RM asking about how the studying coming along.

"Hm... No message? I think I broke his little heart." Jimin said as he shrugged his shoulders and stood up to stretch. "Well? He needs to realize that it's just business... Not a friend cafe to make friends and trade friendship bracelets." Jimin added as he walked into the bathroom to wash up and get ready for his day. He only treated Jungkook like any other person he ever had to talk to, yet, he was aware he only gave Jungkook a rougher time because he wanted to show how independent he was. Jimin never asked for a partner, so he took matters into his own hands just so he could redeem himself. He didn't mean to break Jungkook down and shove him aside on purpose. Then again, he only acted the way he could just so he could work alone. As selfish as that sounded, Jimin wasn't looking back at the way he treated the boy.

Of course, there was even lack of trust. Jimin used the coffee excuse to distract Jungkook. But wasn't planning on drinking any coffee Jungkook served him. The man just didn't feel like he could give his trust over to the younger so blindly because he was a detective and a mute. In Jimin's book, that didn't give him enough reasons why he should trust someone so easily. This stood for everyone who came into his life. Not just Jungkook.

Jimin soon reached the office, tying the black tie around his light baby blue dress shirt with dark blue stripes going down vertically. He walked in with only his briefcase that carried his laptop and the files he used for the case he chose to work alone. Once Jimin walked down the hall, he greeted the officers passing by as they returned the smile to him. Jimin then reached the lobby, he could see Jungkook just looking down at his hands. Looking as if he was communicating with himself and using sign language. Jimin looked at the boy before walking to his office and unlocking the door with his keys before he stepped in and left the door unlocked. Thinking the younger would let himself in on his own. However, that's not what it seemed to Jungkook.

Jimin stepped into his office and set his briefcase down as he looked over at the younger through his own mirror to see that the boy wasn't moving at all. Just his hands while he communicated with himself and didn't even bother to step in. Jimin was starting to feel bad. The soft and kind side of him was just aching to think of something for Jungkook. This just showed that the older tried his best not to show this side of him. He didn't trust the new detective and knew the boy should know the rough side of him before he digs deeper into the nice and happy side of the Chief. However, Jimin couldn't take it anymore. Those whispers in his head, slowly turned into shouts.

"Ah, that boy looks like he didn't catch any sleep... Does he love this job so much to even sacrifice sleep because of his horrible first day?" Jimin asked himself. "...I'm at fault... But why should I be sorry? I can't trust him so easily." Jimin said to himself as he couldnt stop looking at the boy just sit out of his office and look grim. Namjoon would eventually see him and come in to lecture the Chief again and again like before.

"Fuck, it's too early in the morning for this." Jimin hissed to himself as he looked up ahead to see a random office table he didn't use. Originally, that spot was for the Chief's partner, but Jimin only placed files over that table and used the spare office chair just to stack more files. The small section was filled with paper work and Jimin didn't even bother to clear it up for the boy even once! But now, he had an idea. "Guess I'll have to see how good is he with solving the case." Jimin said to himself. Actually willing to hand the files over to Jungkook so he could try to figure something out. "If father chose you to work with me... You must have pure talent then." Jimin added as he started to fix up the area quickly. Setting the files into cabinets or even on top of the steel cabinets.
