"I'm really sorry, Jungkook..." Jimin whispered and gazed at the younger. Finally loosening his grip along the boys wrist. "You can't be mines even if I felt something towards you... I hope you understand. I can't have you killed out there." Jimin continued as Jungkook let out a sigh and rubbed his wrists gently while avoiding eye contact. But he never bothered to dry his own tears. That was until, Jimin stepped in closer and started to dry them with the cuffs of his own black dress shirt.

"I never wanted to hurt you... But I have to do it so you would understand. If I fell in love with you, I would have to break my own heart so yours would still beat..." Jimin told the detective once more and even if they never stepped further from friends, Jimin couldn't be with the detective.

Jungkook then turned his head away and walked forward to avoid having Jimin this close to him. He was upset and the last thing he wanted was to cry in front of the Chief once more. Jungkook was seen as a sensitive detective and Jimin didn't want to push his limits and hurt him. This was the reason why he refrained from trying to show him any sort of love that could bloom into something beautiful. Jimin knew he wasn't worthy of loving Jungkook and causing the boy to die before him.

The two remained in silence as the drove off to the wife of the victim. She stayed in the same house but she couldn't dare to run upstairs. The body was already taken care of... But, she just couldn't bring herself to go up there on her own. In the car, Jimin occasionally kept glancing over at the young boy before averting his eyes and staring back at the road. Jimin gawked over at Jungkook countless times... However, the boy couldn't help but to feel like he was on his last legs and growing weary to this. He wished to speak and tell Jimin all of his feelings and beg for a chance.. But Jimin has already spoken and at the end of the day, he couldn't talk and Jimin could. Jimin had more advantages.

Once they reached the widow's house, Jungkook noticed there was a police car parked outside the house and on the porch, Officer Riyu was there. Waiting for Jimin to get there. The relationship Jimin had with the Officer made Jungkook a little jealous, but he never despised Sehiro... There was no way he could hate him just for being himself. On the other hand, Officer Riyu never grew fond of the young detective because he grew overprotective towards Park Jimin. They were very close and the thought somewhat bothered the boy. But he knew that Jimin would never choose Sehiro over the silent prince.

Jimin had a smile on his face as he approached the porch of the house to meet with the Officer. "Good to see you. You're right on time."

"How could I not be on time? It's part of the case after all." Sehiro added and placed his hands in his pocket before stepping aside. "I just got here."

"Knock on the door then." Jimin laughed as Jungkook slowly approached the two. Not wanting to go through those judging stares Officer Riyu. Jimin knocked on the door as Jungkook walked behind him, but just then, the officer placed his hands on Jungkook's shoulders and suddenly moved him aside so he could stand behind the Chief.

Jungkook looked at the older Officer and quickly averted his gaze as soon as Sehiro glared back at him. Jungkook grew extremely uncomfortable. He was only trying to stand behind the one he trusted the most. However, the older was stuck to Jmin like a rash. Only then, Jungkook began to feel a little angry. But not enough to hate the man. It was just the hint of jealousy that was building up inside. But to avoid further issues with Jimin, Jungkook made sure he kept it down.

The woman opened the door wearing a sleeping robe over her white blouse and loose white bottoms with matching house shoes. Her eyes were puffy and she had bags under her eyes. She couldn't sleep at all in the house her husband was murdered just before and she lived alone now. Not even daring to walk up those steps and into her room.
