Chapter 8: Investigation

             Jimin accessed the laptop and looked back at the younger who was still looking at Jimin. He was whipped for the Chief and couldn't stop from staring, even if he was caught in the act, Jungkook didn't want to look away. Everything went silent while the young detective finally caught the attention of his Chief. Gazing into each other's eyes with such wonder. Not even Jimin himself could stop doing this in return.

            The man didn't know what he felt at the moment. He was confused, nervous and surprised he was still staring at the younger like this. But he couldn't look away. He couldn't dare to stop this. Jimin just couldn't remember the last time he took a good look at someone like this. Even after having to cut off all close and harmless relationships, Jimin found himself longing to start something. It was just a feeling he picked up from the younger who kept his eyes fixed onto Park Jimin the whole time.

               Before Jimin could say something and break away from the gaze, Namjoon suddenly walked in with a smile on his face. "Finally!" Namjoon said, taking off his black coat and placing it down onto the couch within the office. "I thought I was just seeing things when I saw the two of you just sitting there!"

             Jimin looked away instantly as he kept his gaze down and looked at the laptop. No longer daring to keep his head in a small world with Jungkook. The feeling felt weird to Jimin. He didn't see himself pulling away in any second, so he sat there and played it off like he wasn't even trapped in a different little world with the boy. "Shut up, we were working." Jimin stated as Namjoon scoffed into one of his cute and signature smiles he would do at work as always.

            "Hmm... That's interesting." The older added and stopped talking about it by there. "I'm glad to finally see the two of you working together! So, Jungkook? Are you excited?" The older asked as Jungkook was still looking at Jimin, finally prying his round and beautiful gaze away from the man just so he could sign to Namjoon and make a smile. "Noted. Good luck!" Namjoon said as Jimin sat there, puzzled on what Jungkook signed off to Namjoon. Yet, he couldn't ask or else the older would just stand there and fold his arms like a strict father to tell him he needs to practice sign language in order to understand. He had to understand that not everything Jungkook communicates by would be written on paper or typed into chat bubbles.

               Just then, Jimin recieved a new footage sent from him by the deputies that went off to look for evidence based on Jimin's wishes. "Got it!" Jimin said with a smile as he accessed his e-mail and accessed footage from last night. There was a new case coming up to surface where an elder was just murdered with what appeared to be a knife in the shady killer's hand last night and the camera caught a figure of the killer once more. "Another piece!"

             "A-Another piece? I thought my team was covering this?" Namjoon asked as he quickly walked over to their side of the laptop and peered over them to look at the screen while Jungkook was shocked there was almost close to clear footage of the killer. "No one sends me anything when I want to be on this case specifically." The older complained. Jimin then let out a chuckle as he looked back to gaze at the older.

              "You're a dispatcher. You shouldn't get on any case!"

               "Oh? Says the Chief. You're supposed to be handling paper work, not criminal cases. Jungkook is!" Shot back the older as he let out a laugh. "I may have just stayed as Dispatch before, but I feel like I could get my hands dirty and try to help." Namjoon concluded while he kept staring at the footage and let out a sigh. "This is confusing..."

              "There's a reason why I seperated the case of the jewelry theft and the actual killer. They seem different... Yet, these strike somewhat around the same time. Just like the girl is running around and commiting crimes left and right... Trying to throw us off and say she could be a different person. Yet, all we have of the girl is her figure and the witnesses claims who went through lie detectors to say her voice is feminine. Could it be just her at the jewelry store? Then who is the one going around and killing?" Jimin spoke out his thoughts and looked at Jungkook. "Any thoughts on this?"
