"Where the hell is everyone?" I ask Elijah as he holds the phone up to his ear.

It's then I find no Hayley, Oliver, or Jackson like there was supposed to be.

"Do try to clean up whatever mess you make, Niklaus." Elijah states, hanging up the phone.

"Well?" I ask. "There's been a bit of an issue, nothing to concern you too much." He smiles at me, but something tells me he's lying. "Elijah I'm not glass, just tell me." I roll my eyes.

"I'll explain later, just stay here and don't leave the compound." He instructs before walking out.

Well thanks for the explanation Elijah, you're my hero. Note the sarcasm.

_____________

Elijah walks into the compound with Hayley and Jackson at his side. "Thank god you guys were okay, I was worried." I sigh in relief as I approach them each for a hug.

"I'm fine too, thanks for asking." Klaus smirks at me. I playfully roll my eyes at him and wrap my arms around him. It felt so natural, as if I was being drawn to him. I'd had this impulse to be as close to him as possible before, but it was getting stronger by the day. Maybe I should tell him later? No? I don't know.

"What about the stones?" Hayley asks. "Scattered across the bed of the Mississippi I imagine." Elijah replies cooly.

"Marcel is no fool. He knows an empowered werewolf army would mean the end of vampires in New Orleans. The explosion is his way of saying he means to prevent that for all He good it'll do him." Klaus explains.

"Well, it did him pretty damn well, didn't it?" Hayley quips back.

"This is my fault. I will find a way to fix it." Jackson attempts to sit up but Hayley shakes her head.

"No, Jack. You're hurt, and no one is blaming you." Hayley tries to comfort him. "I'm blaming you," Klaus shrugs, earning a glare from both me and Hayley.

"Those stones will be hard to replace. Fortunately, I always have a backup plan." Klaus smirks.

____________

Skylar I need you to come with me." Hayley urges me into the side room where Genevieve was performing her spell on the moonlight rings.

"Why?" I ask. "Because Marcel's men are on the move and we need to keep an eye on Genevieve." She explains.

I nod, following Hayley down to the bottom room, which only contained Francesca and Genevieve, who was working on the stones.

Francesca eyed me up and down as I entered the room, almost as if she were looking for something.

"I told Elijah I'd stay with you both, that way were numbered against anyone who could threaten us." Francesca explains.

Hayley gives her a nod, and shuts the doors behind us.

After a few moments of the sound of the fighting, the doors open to reveal one of Francesca's brothers.

"Ms. Correa, we need to go. Your brothers are heading out the back." He states lowly. "Not yet." She dismisses him.

Hayley and I simply watch as Genevieve continues to chant, placing the spell onto the stones.

All of a sudden, Genevieve stops her chanting and picks up one of the stones. "The stones are finished. I've done my part. Now it's up to you." Genevieve states.

"I'll get them to the bayou." Hayley insists. "Actually, She was talking to me." Francesca corrects, walking over and holding her hand out to Genevieve, who placed the stones into Francesca's hand.

"What the hell is this?" Hayley growls. "Call it a side deal. Point is, I'm taking the stones." Francesca smirks before walking toward the door.

"Are you out of your mind? You think you humans can go against Klaus?" Hayley asks, storming up to Francesca.

"No, I don't. But I'm not human." She shrugs, pulling out a switch blade and sliding it across her informers throat. I jump in surprise and step farther back away from them.

Right afterward, Francesca leans over and grasps her stomach in pain. When she leans up, her eyes were glowing a fiery yellow, the color of a werewolf's.

"I'm like you, Hayley and Skylar. And now, I'm gonna take back my town." She smirks evilly. "Like hell you are." I snap, stepping forward toward Francesca.

But I was stopped by an unidentified force, which made me feel light headed.

I felt myself falling to the ground, when I saw a blurry vision of Hayley crumpling to the ground with me.

Just then, everything went black.

I'm awoken to two men holding me by my arms and dragging me through the isle of the church.

"No no no please." I sob out. My heart is beating rapidly in my chest, and panic is raging through my body.

"Lay her down on the ground." Is the only thing o can decipher out of what the witches are conversing about.

"The baby is coming now." Genevieve confirms. "No! It's too soon!" I cry out. A piercing pain runs through my body, and I scream out. "Apparently not." Genevieve contradicts.

The two men kept holding me down to the steps and I kept screaming in pain and anger. "Let me go!" I screamed at them.

"You need to be calm, Skylar." Genevieve instructs. "Why are you doing this to me?" I ask her, looking into her eyes which held a hidden remorse.

"To be reborn, we must sacrifice." Monique answers. "What the hell does that mean, you psychotic little bitch?" I growl at her.

"The ancestors demand an offering in exchange for power." Genevieve clarifies. "And your child will make a fine offering." Monique exclaims.

"No. No no no! You will not take my baby, I will kill all of you!" I growl in Monique's face.

"No, you won't. And neither will Klaus or Elijah. When your baby is born, we will offer it up to those who came before us." Monique explains. I begin to sob loudly, my cries and whimpering echoing across the walls of the St. Anne's Church.

"I'm sorry, Skylar. But this is the way it had to be." Genevieve states. "No. No!" I cry out. I kept struggling and screaming but it was no use.

I couldn't get free of the witches hold.
