As I sit and re-read The Exceptions for the millionth time, I hear a car pull up outside. I set the book down on the coffee table and grab a fire poker and walk to the first landing on the stairs.

I peek around the bend and hear the door open. "Who are you?" I ask. "Ah, you must be the maid. My bags are in the car get them, will you?" She asks. "I'm not the maid." I look at her, completely confused.

"Right, you're that werewolf girl my brother Klaus knocked up. I expected to see some kind of supernatural magical miracle baby bump, guess your not showing yet. It's Skylar isn't it?" She asks.

I walk up to her and smile. "You defiantly have your brothers manners." I comment sassily. "And his temper too, so watch it. Where's Elijah?" She asks.

"Beats me, he's long gone." I shrug. "What do you mean 'long gone'?" She asks. "Well, one minute he was here making epic promises about protecting me in this predicament. He was nice and very protective for some reason, and then Klaus told me he bailed. Guess that's what I get for trusting a vampire." I explain.

"Elijah is not just any vampire, and he doesn't break promises. Which means Niklaus has done something dastardly and Klaus-like. Klaus! Get out here and tell me what you've done with our brother you narcissistic back stabbing wanker!" She yells, making me chuckle.

"Enough with all the shouting, little sister. I should have known. I assume the six dead vampires was your doing." Klaus sighs.

"They were very rude, trying to victimize a poor innocent girl just trying to find her way to the quarter. So sorry, were they friends of yours?" She asks. "And that's my cue.." I state, walking out the door to the girls car.

I grab one of her heaviest bags and drag it to the porch. I grab another bag and see Klaus arrive onto the porch. "You shouldn't strain yourself." He states. "Since when do you give a damn?" I ask curiously, lifting the bag onto the porch.

"You'll hurt yourself, she can very well get those bags on her own. Do me a favor, stay safe, little wolf." He states before speeding off. I sigh and walk up the stairs into the house where the blonde waits.

"You, wolf girl, I'm gonna search this house inch by inch until I find out what my evil brother has done to my good one, you're helping." She says, leading me down a long set of spiral stairs.

"The governor had lots of secret rooms, I'll show you his favorite." She states. "Hey, I never did catch your name." I say to her. "Rebekah, Rebekah Mikaelson." She introduces, leading me to a secret room that reveals coffins.

"You think Klaus killed him?" I ask. "We can't be killed, silly girl. But that doesn't stop Klaus from finding a way to torture us. He has a set of mystical silver daggers, one in the heart sends us into a deep slumber. Klaus gets his jollies from keeping us in a box until he decides to pull the dagger out." Rebekah informs.

"That's what he must have done to Elijah. This ones mine." She assumes, shining a flashlight on it. "He keeps your coffin on stand by?" I question. "He likes to be prepared for when one of his siblings inevitably disappoint him. Elijah's isn't here." Rebekah states.

"He must have stashed him somewhere else." Rebekah guesses. Suddenly, a wave of nausea hits me and I hold my stomach. "I feel sick." I state. "Welcome to the family love, you should have run the second you realized Elijah was gone." Rebekah points out.
