I sit in the rocking chair, which sits in the corner of the baby's room. The pen glides across the paper, as I write the note of which I intent to be of great importance.

"Writing a love letter to one of your many suitors?" Klaus' voice sounds from the corner of the room. I look up and give him a playful smile.

"Who's the lucky recipient then? Oliver, or Elijah?" Klaus asks and I give him a smirk. "Don't tell me it's me. I thought I was out of the running ages ago." Klaus jokes and I give him a light laugh.

I'd always felt something for Klaus, and he knew it. "And the award for biggest ego goes to..." I point my hand toward him, causing him to laugh.

"Ooh." I sigh as I feel the baby kick against my stomach. "How is our littlest wolf?" Klaus asks, moving closer. "Do you want to..." I trail off, motioning toward my stomach.

He smiles, but hesitates at first. "Come on." I chuckle. He complies and kneels down in front of me. I look down and watch as he hesitantly places his hand over my stomach.

I watch his face intently as he waits to feel one of her kicks. He gasps lightly, which causes us both to laugh. "Feel that?" I ask, causing him to smile even more.

"Right," he starts, getting to his feet and looking down at me. "I'll leave you to your secret letter then." He smiles lightly and leaves the room.

Once he's left, I continue my writing.

Dear Zoey, or Caitlyn, or Angela,

To my little girl,

Your dad just asked if this was a love letter. I guess it kind of is. I never got to know my mother, I have no idea what she must have thought when she carried me. So, I thought I'd write to you, so you could know how happy I am at this very moment, how much your father and I can't wait to meet you, and I want to make you a promise. 3 things that you will have that I never did. A safe home, someone to tell you that they love you every single day, and someone to fight for you, no matter what. In other words, family. So there you go, baby girl. The rest were gonna have to figure out together.

I love you.

-your mom

I scream out in pain as the witches lay me down and hold me against the table on the alter of the church.

"Let go of me, you stupid bitch." I growl at her, before crying out again.

Suddenly, the doors fly open, revealing a very angry and beat looking Klaus. I let out a whimper at seeing him, instantly feeling a surge of hope.

As a male witch comes toward him, he practically tears him in half, storming up toward us.

The witches all team together with their magic, and pin him to the wall above, forcing him to watch the whole thing. I continue to scream in pain as the contractions fall upon me.

"You should know this brings me no joy. I promise I'll make it quick." Genevieve states as they cover my lower half with a sheet.

I continue screaming in pain and try to resist against the witches.

I could hear nothing but the distant threats given by Klaus to the witches. All I could hear was the blood roaring through my ears, my pounding heartbeat, and the screams that left my body.

"I see the baby! Push, Skylar, push!" Genevieve insists. I let out one final scream, before letting my head fall back against the table.

I lean up as I find Genevieve holding my newborn baby. My baby cries in her arms, and looks up to Klaus. "You have a beautiful baby daughter." She looks back down to the baby.

"We have to start the sacrifice as soon as the moon sets." Genevieve explains.

"Please, can I hold her?" I ask pleadingly. Tears roll down my face as Genevieve walks toward me. I sit up straight, and watch as Genevieve approaches me with my daughter.

Carefully, the baby is set into my arms, and in that moment, my life felt complete.

I look up at klaus, and give him a smile. That is, until someone grabs my hair, and I feel a sharp pain glide across my throat. I cough and try to breathe out, but it doesn't work.

My body goes numb, and I lifelessly fall backward.

I watch in agony as they hold Skylar down. I'm completely helpless as she cries out in pain.

"Let her go!" I scream at them, but it's as if I'm not even here. It's all blurring together; the witches encouraging to help birth our child, Skylars screams in protests and agony. It's all fading away as I struggle to get free.

All I can do is watch as they birth our child from Skylar, who is screaming and writhing in relentless pain. "I will bring hell to your doorstep!" I shout, but I fall silent as soon as I hear the cry from the new born.

I look down as the witches hold up the baby. "You have a beautiful baby daughter." She announces. Skylar let's out a breath of relief, and I look down. My two girls, the most beautiful girls in the world.

"Please, can I hold her?" Skylar asks pleadingly, her light, raspy voice filling the room. Genevieve gently hands Sky the baby, and she smiles with a smile as wide and big as the sky.

She looks up at me and I feel my heart become whole. This is my redemption, Elijah was right after all.

Sky smiles up at me, and looks back down at the baby.

Until one of the witches comes behind her, pulls back her hair, and skits her throat wide open.

At that moment, everything goes blank, and I feel my heart break into a million pieces.

"No!" Is the only word I can manage out as I watch her fall lifeless against the alter.

The witches simply take out baby, and snap their fingers. With that one snap, I felt my body falling as my neck is broken.

"Skylar!" Elijah calls out as he runs into the church, but he stops and his heart clenches at the sight of his brother, holding the lifeless girl in his lap while he cries quietly.

They both begin to cry, keeping the silence of death which lingers in the air around them.

"She's gone," Klaus chokes out, breaking the silence. "She's gone and I never told her how much I love her. I love her so much, and now she's gone. Just dead and gone." He cries, his voice laced with pain.

As klaus and Elijah searched relentlessly for the missing baby, Bonnie Bennett, resident witch of mystic falls had gotten a warning from her grandmother, and was at that moment, rushing into the church with Stefan and Damon Salvatore, along with Caroline Forbes, and Elena and Jeremy Gilbert.

"Grab the candles, we don't have much time!" Bonnie instructs.

"Skylar!" Elena cries as she approaches her lifeless friend. "Caroline, Stefan, and Damon, I'm going to need to channel power from you in order for this to work." Bonnie explains. "What if Klaus finds us here?" Jeremy asks. "I'm thinking he's not gonna protest." Bonnie rolls her eyes as she takes out her Grimoires. Linking hands with the three vampires, she begins to chant as Elena silently cries into her brothers shoulder.

As Bonnie continues to chant, a strong blast of wind flows through, and the church windows shatter across the inside of the building.

"It's done." She rasps. "How long?" Damon asks. "Could be hours, could be days. There's no real way to know." Bonnie explains. "Let's just hope it worked." Elena sighs, calming down to face her friend once more.
