Rylee's POV

Once I am inside I run upstairs to my room, I don't know if my mom is home but I'm not in the mood to talk if she is. I push my door open realizing how small my room is compared to Justin's. I need to clear my head so I turn on my iPod and listen to Bizzle pour his heart out to me.

I can't really be mad at Justin, but after the incident at his house I was a little scared of him. I'd never heard him yell like that and I thought he was going to break something. Thankfully he didn't. I close my eyes and take a nap.

*buz* buz* I feel my phone going off and it wakes me up.

J: Hey beautiful, sorry about earlier today.

Me: Its ok

J: I have to go somewhere this weekend, but how about a date Wednesday?

Me: Sure, see you tomorrow.

What is he doing this weekend? Is seems like he is never here. My stomach starts to grumble and I realize I haven't ate since breakfast.

I walk down the stairs deciding to make some tomato soup and grilled cheese. I hear the front door open, mom must be home.

"Hey sweetie, how was your day?" she says as she walks into the kitchen.

"It was good, I met Justin's mom."

"That's nice. I see you're making dinner, thank you."

My mom is always working so I try to pick up the slack around the house, sometimes I wish I had a sibling because then maybe I wouldn't be lonely all the time.

"How was work?" I ask trying to sound interested. She is a nurse and her hours are crazy, but I know to enjoys her job.

"It was good. You know I love working with all the patients." she smiles as she thinks about it.

We finish up with dinner and both do the dishes, this is pretty much our only bonding time. At our old town she had normal work hours and we used to be able to do stuff together, but everything is different in Stratford.

It's only 5p.m. and I try to think of something we can do together. "Hey mom, wanna go to the Avon Theater and see a performance?" We used to love doing things like that together.

"That sounds like a great idea!"

We both get changed into something nice and head off grinning. The show turns out to be really good. I have never heard of it, but its one of my favorites now. As it wraps up the audience begins to clap and we head home.

My mom and I laugh and sing along to the radio on our way home, I missed this so much. We make it home by 9. I go to my room to finish up last minute homework and curl up to go to bed.
