Chapter Twenty One

Krista and I spent the day shopping and just trying to keep my mind off everything, I really like her and I just know we're gonna be the best of friends.

When we made it back to the hotel room Cam and Jacob were in there playing some type of video game. "Dude you're too good at this." Jacob says, "This is the fifth time I've lost."

"What can I say, I'm just that good." Cam chuckles and looks up, "Look who is back." he gets up and gives me a kiss on the cheek. "I missed you."

"Uh huh, sure." I go into the bathroom to pee. Cam comes in just as I finish washing my hands.

"Are you mad at me?" I just look at him. "Rylee, don't be mad... I'm just trying to stop me from hurting you anymore." I nod. "I really care about you so don't be mad." he puts both hands on my cheeks and kisses my forehead.

"I'm sorry, my emotions are everywhere. I don't want to be mad at you, but I don't like you telling me what I need and don't need Cam. I know what I need and that's you." I pull him into a hug.

"You already have me and one day I will give you every part of me, but I can't right now because you need time to heal from everything that has happened." he rubs my back.

Someone knocks on the door, "Yes." Cam says.

Jacob sticks his head in, "Krista and I are about to leave, do you want to go to dinner with us?"

"That'd be great." I say.

I put on a pretty summer dress with flats and redo my make up. "I'm ready." Cam grabs my hand and we walk out the door.

"I think Jacob said we're going dancing and then this place serves us dinner." Cam says.

We reach the restaurant and Cam opens my door for me. "Ready?" he smiles. Its the most beautiful thing when he smiles.

"Yes, I'm ready to show you how terrible of a dancer I am." I laugh. I really am though, Cam's gonna get a kick out of this.

"Awk because I'm probably ten times worse." he says.

We walk in and spot Jacob and Krista. They both look amazing. Krista has on a pretty skirt and top with some heals.

"Krista you look super amazing." I say.

"I could say the same about you." she replies.

"You guys ready to dance? I kind of suck at this stuff but that always makes it more fun because its funny."

We all head to the dance floor where there is already a few couples and their kids. Cam puts his arms around my waist and pulls me close. He whispers in my ear, "You're the best looking one here." I blush and put my arms around his neck.

"Yeah well you're not looking too bad yourself." I giggle.

The song Forever Unstoppable by Hot Chelle Rae begins to play as we dance. Its not really slow but we hold each other close.

"Can this be our song?" Cam asks me.

"I was thinking the same thing." I look into his eyes and realize how much he means to me even though I've known him for such a short time.

"I never did tell you this, but I know what its like to not have a dad to be in your life." I look at him and see sadness in his eyes. "We're kind of similar, my dad hasn't really been apart of my life."

I pull him closer, "You've always got me."

He kisses my cheek and then starts singing the song to me,"You can take my heart if yours won't beat, we're forever unstoppable."

"If you're torn apart I'll make you see, nothings impossible." I sing back. Cam leans down and kisses me.

"Hey mister, that's yucky girls have cooties." a kid about the age of 5 says.

Cam laughs and leans down so he's at the same height as the kid, "You're right, but this one right here.." he points at me, "..she's a special one."

"If you say so mister." he smiles at me.

Cam ruffs his hair, "One day you'll find a girl that's special for you and you'll see." he smiles.

The two talk for a few more minutes,  Cameron is so good with kids and it just makes him more attractive. I go sit down because I'm exhausted.

Cam says goodbye to the little boy and comes over, "You okay?" he asks.

"Yeah, I'm just really tired." I yawn. "Can we get dinner now?"

Krista and Jacob make their way to the table. "You guys ready to eat?" Jacob says sitting down. "Their serving chicken and soup tonight."

"Sounds good." Cam and I say.

Dinner went well and now Cam and I in the elevator almost back to the hotel room.

"I forgot to tell you, I took care of all the funeral arrangements just as you wanted them. Its in two days." he looks at me to make sure I'm not going to break down.

I hold back the tears, "Thank you Cam." he pulls me close to him and kisses the top of my head.

"Anything for you baby girl. That's what I'm here for."

When we get in to hotel room we change and curl up into bed. I snuggle to Cam while he rubs my back until I  fall asleep.
