Dragon girl

The beginning.

It was during the battle of New York they first saw it, the beast. The Avengers was fighting an army from outer space sent by Loki, the god of mischief. When they thought that it couldn't get much worse, they came through the portal. Big metall monsters flying through the sky destroying everything in its way, going through buildings and streets with no mercy.

"Are you kidding me?!" Tony said in the com radio they all had in their ears.

"No, I don't think we can hold them of much longer." Steve replied.

"I don't think so either. There's too many of them!" Natasha said.

"Well what are we going to do? We can't just give up." Clint cut in.

"I don't see another option right now then to give up." Tony replied.

"No! We are not giving up! We'll think of something." Steve ordered them.

"Fine, but you might want to consider thinking faster then." Tony replied before blasting them.

It wasn't looking to good for them, the enemies were storming in from a portal opened by the tesseract. Steve was trying to come up with a plan, everyone was. But no one did. Just as they thought all hope was lost they heard a roar not that far away.

"What was that?" Steve asked.

"Well it wasn't a chitauri, they don't sound like that." Tony replied.

Steve was just about to answer when they saw a chitauri coming towards them with no intention of stopping. Thor was of fighting Loki in another building and the hulk was busy with another chitauri. The rest of the Avengers were standing in the middle of the street with a chitauri charging right at them. Tony blasted it with all he got, but it wasn't enough to stop it.

"Well, if this is the end, then I want to say that it has been an honour to fight among you all." Steve said to the group preparing for the worst.

When the chitauri was only a few feet away they heard a roar again and suddenly a dragon appeared from between two buildings and hit the chitauri with such power that it was struck down on the ground, where the dragon then ripped its head off and threw it away. it flew up and charged at another chitauri not far away. The group stood there, amazed at what they just had seen.

"Wait, so there's a dragon now too?! What the hell is going on?" Tony exclaimed.

"Is it on our side?" Natasha asked.

"I think so, it did actually save us and now it is fighting of the other chitauris." Steve said.

"Well are we just going to watch or help it?" Clint asked and shot an arrow at an enemy.

"You're right, we should help it." Steve agreed.

"As long as it doesn't eat me." Natasha joined.

"Wait! Are we not going to consider the fact that a DRAGON just appeared out of nowhere, saved us and now you want to help it?" Tony exclaimed once again.

"Well yeah, we can't just sit around and do nothing. It helped us, now it is our turn to help it." Steve said before running off to fight back with the rest of them except Tony.

"What happened to this group?" Tony asked himself before joining the fight.

They explained to Thor and Hulk that the dragon was on their side so they wouldn't hurt it.

After the battle and the closing of the portal the Avengers group stood all gathered in the middle of a highway street resting from the long fight. The first to hear the dragon was Tony (well it was Jarvis that warned him the approaching of the dragon). It landed in front of them where it stood watching them, and suddenly it saw Thor, the god of thunder. They looked at each other before the dragon roared and then flew away in a rush.

"Do you know each other?" Clint asked Thor.

"No..No I do not think so. It seemed familiar, like I have seen it before." he answered.
