Peter's POV
Leaving Cassie in that room made me heart broken and I had that dull kind of feeling when you really can't feel anything. Me and Cassie were best friends but I couldn't help but feel that I liked her, more than friends. I made my way home to aunt May and by then it was already dark outside showing that it was late. I opened the door and walked in only to be met by May with red puffy eyes and worry in her eyes.
"Where have you been?!"
Before I could answer she she started to talk again.
"I have called four different police stations, FOUR! None of them knew where you were. You can't do this to me Peter." she said as she sat down at the kitchen table.
I walked up to her and sat on a chair next to her.
"I..I'm sorry." I said in a whisper before a few tears rolled down my face.
She looked at me and hugged me.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Remember Cassie?"
"The girl you like."
"Yeah well, she's..she's sick. And I don't know if she'll make it."
I couldn't tell her the truth but it was pretty close to the truth, I didn't know if she would make it.
The next day I went to school and met up with Ned at our lookers like usual, except Cassie wasn't there.
"Hey Peter, what's up?" he asked in his normal happy voice.
"Nothing."
"Where's Cassie?"
"She's sick."
"Oh okay, I hope she gets better soon."
"Yeah me too."
I didn't want to tell him that she might be dying and never come back, besides it would be too complicated to explain. The day went on as usual but much slower and I couldn't focus on what the teachers were saying. When the school bell finally rang I said goodbye to Ned and hurried out of the school. I ran along the streets until I found a safe alley where I changed into my Spider-man suit. I put my backpack on and then swung from building to building until I got out from the city where I had to change back to normal clothes and walk because of the lack of buildings. When I got to the building I went up to the common room and saw Tony sit on a couch with his phone doing something.
"Mr. Stark?"
"Hey kid, how was school?"
"Good."
"That's good. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to see how Cassie is doing. Can I go see her?"
He put his phone away and looked at me.
"She's not awake but there is no flames around her."
"Oh, but can I still see her?"
"I don't think that's a good idéa, there was an accident last night after you left."
"What happened?"
"She shifted into a dragon and destroyed everything she could get her hands on. She even..she even tried to burn the place down, but luckily the walls were to thick."
There was silence between us and I thought that I had come here for nothing and was about to leave when Mr. Stark spoke up.
"You can talk to her via the intercom in the room but I don't know if she'll hear you."
"Thank you Mr. Stark!"
I ran downstairs to the room and sat down with my back against the wall and took my tablet out. I hacked into the com system and made sure that she would be the only one to hear it, I took a deep breath.
"Hi Cassie, it's me Peter. I don't know if you can hear me but if you do then I guess that's good.. anyways Ned misses you, I told him that you were just sick. And, I miss you too. It feels weird to not talk to you in school, I mean there's nothing wrong with Ned but..I don't know I just miss talking to my best friend."
There I sat talking to her for a while about everything, it made me feel a bit better.
Another day another chapter! So still a short chapter but school is killing me and I am so stressed about it so I can't really post that much but I hope you still enjoy reading them! Love you! <3
